I'm planning to start practicing iron shirt. Is there anything I should know before I go in, such as potential harmful teachings, or anything I should be wary of.

This is because it builds up your joints and other important levels of your body, preventing the massive damage and lifespan shortening most professional athletes and lifters experience.

You could use that time for other practices that actually help, and as I have only just recently started my journey into authentic qigong I do not feel comfortable recommending any practices, just recommend you choose other practices like yoga and meditation over it
