Can someone help me build a voodoo doll

You can make them in cloth, clay or whatever. Instructions you can find everywhere on the internet. The important thing is to make them as similar as possible like the person you want to represent. Also while making it you have to "bless" the doll with the name of the person, and then speaking to it like you're speaking to the person. You can also use herbs, crystals which correspond to your intent (charge them first if you use it) . ALSO symphatetic magic (like every other form of magic) it's not "voodoo". The origins of dolls and effigies for healing or hexing others are in greek and roman culture (also egypt) , you cant find them in traditional voodoo.

As long as the doll is made to sustain damage and not fall apart, and that it has anything on it which has the energies of the target, then its fine.

In Japan the onmyoji would just make paper men,an if they wanted to curse someone stuck needles into the paper man,or if it was for love they did a spell for love,in my opinion with poppets use whatever fits you an your work,paper men or voodoo doll
