Hello :)

Can someone with enough time please turn the Pinklotus site into a giant pdf? In case it gets taken down or any other issue such as someone's internet not working. At least the KY kriya section, not necessarily all the other stuff. This would be hugely beneficial and helpful, so perhaps someone who is not already involved on a JoS project would like the honors!

With Mercury being retrograde currently, it is a perfect time to do such a project.

(If this has already been done, please post below saying so.)

Here's the site:

I have begun such project quite some time ago, but it's paused as of now. I can continue it.

Example of a page I copied: https://imgur.com/a/EXIeEct

As you can see I have had to resize images and compose them so that the page looks neat with the accompanied text.

Thanks :) I mentioned this to HP Cobra a while ago and he said it would be a great idea.

Xodo PDF Reader is a great program for this. You can change the order of the pages in a pdf, add or delete pages, or mix multiple pdfs into one document.

I will look into this. I have used xodo pdf reader only to read pdf files on my mobile device so I do not know about the full functionality as I have used Libreoffice for editing on desktop.

You dont need have a program or something, is very easy as of now, it's automatic, you have two options:

1. open the ky page, click "Save as" under File tab. In firefox browser there are 4 items on which format to save, better take HTML in full format. And you only need a browser to open it, even in offline mode (no internet required).
2. If you want the pdf instead, opne a ky page, click "Print" under File tab. A new window will come up where there are printing options such as colors etc, forget about it, just look at the drop down menu on the bottom left, where there is a "Save as PDF" option. Just click it and will open a new window where it asks you where you want the file saved (in a folder or desktop or etc.), then click SAVE button. And voila you have the pdf file automatically and with images already placed.

I'm talking all from MacOS user. If you use Windows or Linux, should be a little bit different things, but definitely the items like "print", then "save as pdf" is there, search, maybe it's in a different position of the window/tab or things like that.

Both 1 and 2, the only boring stuff is that you have to organize the various pdfs/htmls, sorting them so the reader can navigate between the files.

Lastly, there is always the archive site (archive.org) there are JoS pages there for years and they are not removed. I read a while ago that someone says they remove but I don't have proof by hand. So.

Ciao!

This method would not solve grammatical errors and pages that need to be translated from Dutch to English language.

Further, some pages look better when the text and pictures are rearranged.

I should add to the previous post:

There are some earlier efforts at archiving pinklotus.org.

Siatris loholo has made pdfs from what he has called the most important kriyas: https://www.ancient-forums.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=69553

Furthermore, I have the whole website saved in one .zip file which I originally downloaded from file sharing website (don't remember where exactly I found it, but here is the link for it on my mega account: https://mega.nz/file/3ogDHKaL#qLMuMWcJjsmbpZ9Gn582wMDW87uh4sCZvgFxZnTKd_k

It was made during 2021 so it should have all of the current updates unless something has been updated recently.

I think the most convenient and easiest method to save the whole website as pdfs would be to simply convert the aforementioned database to pdf files. What I had in mind originally was to convert and edit the site for my personal offline usage, which is why I wanted to make edits such as to make pages more compact and print-friendly, plus some translating and grammar corrections. This would take more time and effort, but the end result would be higher quality.

Anyone can do the easiest method if they so wish. It would make sense to announce it so there would not be more than one doing the same effort. I am doing the more complex method at the moment and if someone feels like they can help with that we can share the workload.

KY Kriyas for Western anatomy and physiology has been completed - http://www.pinklotus.org/-%20KY%20Kriyas%20for%20Western%20anatomy%20and%20physiology.htm

KY Kriyas for Eastern anatomy and physiology is well underway - http://www.pinklotus.org/-%20KY%20Kriyas%20for%20Eastern%20anatomy%20and%20physiology.htm

Most of the work has revolved around grammatical corrections and editing the formation of text and pictures. Few translations. Many Kriyas are completed (30-40%?), much more to do. It goes well, I will continue.

Thanks Henu, this is huge. I actually emailed the guy who is overseeing the website after the death of the original creator, and he has no intentions of not maintaining it for the next 25+ years. Either way, this is fantastic and thank-you so much for taking the time to complete this.

The site has a folder full of PDFs. If it's complete, then this project might be as simple as merging a bunch of PDFs:

http://pinklotus.org/KY%20PDF/

Here's one of yoga from there:
http://pinklotus.org/KY%20PDF/-%20KY%20kriya%20for%20balancing%20the%20aura.pdf

But some of the PDFs are not in English.

I am aware, but I am doing it better.

That's nice to hear. Hopefully the site will be in place when there will be influx of new generation of people interested in yoga.

Possible scenarios:

1. The jews could shut the website down after they realize Gentiles are gaining power and advancing

2. The internet could go down (hopefully not ever)

3. An individual SS member's internet could be down for a while just as they were making progress and advancing using these kriyas

Henu is doing a great service to humanity by doing this :)

With the program Xodo pdf reader, you can easily combine multiple PDFs into one document. You can change the order of the pages, add new pages, delete pages.

Got any software recommendations other than on the Windows platform? I can look myself too, but thought that I should ask you first. And pls don't say "use wine". Looking for native support. :D
