I have a lot of friends who are unfortunately NPCs. I would like to eventually have some SS friend, preferably from my town. Do you have any suggestions for runes? Or maybe use a magic square?

If i am not mistaken Ehwaz is very good for forging friendships. The closest squares i can think of are maybe mercury and jupiter as they rule over the types of good things that can attract friends for you.
