Well, it's not a book, it's a movie and for slightly older children (maybe 6 and up, depends on character) and adults, but I really recommend "Dark Crystal", it's on netflix I think. I think it's better to watch a new, incoplete version (2019) first and then completed old version (1982). It shows very similiar situation to ours, of jews tooking away our spirituality and lying for thousands of years because they wanted our energy. Also, the puppets are amazing.
