Sorry this will be a little graphic due to the nature of the subject.

So I've been experimenting with my sexuality (a fancy way of saying that I'm trying new things while masturbating) and I gravitated toward this technique where I masturbate as far as I can go until the point just before climax/ejaculation. After, I give myself a few seconds to cool down a little, and do it again until I feel like I'm done with my session. The entire time I consciously try NOT to ejaculate, but if I happen reach the point of no return and I end up ejaculating, then I just accept it and let it go with no regrets.

I sort of gravitated towards this way of masturbating because I always felt very tired after I ejaculated, even a little bit going into the next day. Obviously the body has to create new sexual fluids to replace the stuff that just left the building.

However, when I stop myself just before a full orgasm/ejaculation as described above, I don't get the same after effects as normal ejaculation. I don't feel sluggish or tired and in fact feel somewhat energetic.

Of course no porn the entire time, I use my imagination

My questions are
What effect does this have on my body and the energy in my body?
Is this technique not recommended by anyone here?
Can it be dangerous to my energy or body or my sexual organs?

Thanks in advance for your guidance. And to the haters who find this vile I'm sorry but this is for my health and I'm trying to learn whats best for me

You can direct the orgasm energy inside yourself instead of wasting it even when you ejaculate. That way you will not feel sluggish, as you say it. If you want to use it for something external, use it for sex magick or give it to God/Goddess.

There is nothing vile in sexuality, btw. Only a jude or a prude could think that way. Or someone who has hangups.

I used to do this younger and it affected my ability to enjoy sex as a normal human being. If you keep postponing your ejaculation and or orgasm you will start to last longer in bed. But if you develop this as a routine, in time you'll get desensitized, and without 2 -3 hours of non stop sex you will be unable to finish. A girl / man can give her/ his soul to you in bed for even 5 hours and still not achieve anything. And it is embarrassing. Be careful and don't exagerate this. Girls can and will have multiple orgasms mostly, and males one , at most 2 in a session. Don't throw it out of your life.

On the spiritual side, nothing to mention. Maybe that you can start training to separate the ejaculation from the orgasm. The lower abdomen lock is the key in this.

Sex is something with your entire being, not only your dick and vagina. Try to enjoy it as a whole.

To last longer, you have to train it. Also what helps is, to losen up, don’t strain your penis, and also no muscles around it, keep it smooth, I do believe this helps to vent the energy out.

I found that you can direct the energy from your penis, back to your sacral chakra, and also if it gets too much and you still think you are about to climax, contract your anus and pull energy in your base chakra.

Also the breath is very important while doing it.

Practise once a day for 20-30minutes, but no longer.
Make sure to climax before ending the session.

Try not, „not to climax“, try to ENJOY it, for as long as possible. Different mindset. Before that you just masturbated for the climax alone, so you trained yourself to climax asap. Now you change this.

Doing this should make your penis harder and also you should be able to control yourself.

Don’t force anything, stay composed and calm.

Doing this you should see immediate results. Do this for 4 days and tell me about your experience please.

2-3 seconds before ejaculation, affirm in your mind that you are going to direct the orgasm upwards through the spine and chakras. Then when you ejaculate, clecnch your anus and direct the energy upwards.

Doing this will not make you tired. It will instead recharge you or something similar to that.

Also, do not think of masturbation or sex as a journey with fixed destination.
Instead think of it as a journey with no destination in mind.

The destination being ejaculation. Journey being sex or masturbation. In short, do it with an open mind with no mentality of 'I have to ejaculate'. Instead ' Ah, I am enjoying this'.

From a TCM perspective, ejaculation uses up kidney energy, so if you are feeling tired, then look into more ways to boost kidney energy naturally. For example: yoga, sleeping before 11pm, eating for your dosha (constitution), supplementing with certain herbs/teas, or eating specific kidney foods.

Semen is derived from jing, which is your pool of stem cells. Jing itself is created by the kidneys. The kidneys also manage your body's yin and yang energy, so if you are overtaxing yourself then you will also draw from the kidneys. This is the nature of the tiredness, especially that which extends beyond the orgasmic bliss.

Unfortunately it is. The magnitude of the damage is based on when exactly you fall asleep. That is not to say you cannot do other things to offset this, but just that you have to do more to make up for this. Unfortunately jobs don't compensate for this like they should.

If they are dark circles and sunken in, this points more towards yin deficiency. If they are puffy, this points more towards yang deficiency.

Aside from the other things mentioned above, I would recommend doing kidney qigong, and you can mix in energy breathing into the kidneys. Whether this is worth it or not depends on if your time is being taken away by kidney symptoms, such as fatigue. If not, then perhaps the condition is stable for now and time is better spent elsewhere.

You can look here and see if any of the symptoms pertain to you:

I agree that discrete and important organic and inorganic resources are expended by the body with sperm ejaculation. This is not an insignificant amount of protein as many people think.

Very long and/or permanent sexual abstinence is as sick and harmful as masturbation abuse.

Excessive masturbation, not only loses many important nutrients but there is also the risk of damaging the organs involved.

Many doctors advise men to masturbate and/or have sex 1-2 times a week, not every day and several times a day. Of course, proper and healthy hygiene, manner and time of masturbation are also necessary. Anatomically speaking, holding back and blocking physiological processes is not good and healthy. If you'd like, check out these two great articles and to explore further, do your own research.

What causes too much masturbation (the consequences)

man_thinking-732x549-thumbnail.jpg

The hindered ability to erect caused by excessive masturbation develops in several stages. First, in the 'problematic' phase, the subject experiences poor concentration and memory recall; in the 'severe' phase, the subject is vulnerable to mood swings and in the 'addictive' phase, the subject experiences chronic fatigue and insomnia; the final phase, the one termed 'severely addictive' includes all of the symptoms mentioned above.
In a nutshell, mental and sexual exhaustion can downgrade your double core Normally, when the brain is trying to process multiple tasks, it automatically and unconsciously divides and assigns a certain amount of activity to the gray matter of the cerebellum.
Sexual exhaustion caused by excessive masturbation or frequent ejaculation can also result in unbalanced adrenal function, mental and physical drainage of nutrients from neurons, and decreased neurotransmitter production. Recent research has proven that the front of the brain focuses on multiple dissimilar activities at once.
The front of the brain is particularly affected when essential neuro-nutrients are depleted and disturbed by increased cortisol levels. If depletion persists, symptoms worsen to the point of lack of focus and constant distracting errors. Sexual desire is altered as drive is greatly lowered.

Chronic fatigue caused by too much masturbation

One of the pathological consequences of excessive masturbation is the accumulation of cortisol in the body. Cortisol, known as the stress hormone, when produced in excess creates a number of harmful side effects.
Chronic fatigue resulting from excessive masturbation develops in stages. At first, signs of unusual fatigue appear; if the exhaustion not only persists, but increases over time, a serious condition develops, in which the individual becomes irritable, has trouble concentrating and is sluggish.

The Role of Cortisol

When a person experiences a period of stress, cortisol increases blood sugar production; this chemical change helps the person endure short periods of stress. Because sex and masturbation produce stress, the body releases more cortisol to elevate sperm production.
Constant sexual desire and ejaculation bring cortisol production to a chronic state, which causes fatigue.
Long periods of cortisol exposure, can cause other problems, including:

• Low sexual desire and low libido
- Immunity suppression
- High blood sugar
- Hypertension
- Insulin resistance
- Desire to eat carbohydrates
- Fat deposits on the face, neck and belly

Individuals with chronic fatigue often feel as if they are waging a daily battle against their bodies; they may experience severe depression and stress that interferes with sleep.

Semen

5f29a3f8a6f0e14d99587905

The semen or seminal fluid is an organic compound of consistency liquid-albuminous, generally white or white-pearl with opalescent or milky appearance, which physiologically contains germ cells called spermatozoa (except in pathological cases of azoospermia ) produced in the gonads of male animals or hermaphrodites, and other organic substances. The sperm's job is to fertilize the female egg (female gamete) and the process of expulsion from the genital tract is called ejaculation .

In the seed there are some hormones , whose precise function has not yet been determined, is composed of a solid part and a liquid part. The cellular part, represented by spermatozoa, is produced by the testes, while the remainder is produced by the prostate and seminal vesicles , as well as by the periurethral glands. Surgical interventions such as vasectomy allow men to have intercourse by ejaculating only sperm-free spermatozoa, thus nullifying the possibility of conceiving a child.

Physiological aspects

Sperm and other substances only meet a few moments before being ejaculated . Male spermatozoa or germ cells make up only 5% of seminal fluid, the remaining 95% is made up of seminal plasma . The seminal plasma is made up, in turn, of prostatic fluid (30%) secreted by the prostate , secretions of the seminal vesicles (70%), Cowper's liquid (5-10%) produced by the bulbourethral glands (both in the pre-ejaculatory , both during ejaculation ).

The nutrients that compose it are high, consisting mainly of sugars (in particular fructose ) and many noble proteins ; there are also moderate doses of selenium , zinc , magnesium , phosphorus , potassium and ascorbic acid . It has a variable texture and viscosity that makes it slippery and similar to egg white.

Internal and External Fertilization

Depending on the species, the spermatozoa can fertilize the female gamete externally or internally .

In external fertilization the spermatozoa fertilize the egg directly, outside the female sexual organs. For example, a female fish or frog spreads their eggs in the aquatic environment, where they are then fertilized by the male's semen.

In internal fertilization, on the other hand, fertilization takes place inside the female sexual organs. Internal fertilization occurs after the insemination of a female by the male, through the sexual act. This type of fertilization occurs for example in reptiles , birds and mammals

Composition of the human seed

An adult man, with each ejaculation, emits 1.5 mL to 5 mL of sperm, an amount that depends on the time interval between one ejaculation and the next, the production of testosterone and individual factors not fully studied. Typically, the longer the interval, the more sperm is produced, with a maximum cumulative amount, usually after a week of abstinence. The number of spermatozoa per milliliter of ejaculate is also variable, linked above all to the subject's state of health: this number varies from 20 to 200 million per milliliter. The density of the spermatic fluid also depends on several factors. In most cases it has a fair density, but its appearance can vary from a viscous consistency to an almost completely liquid, but never transparent state.

The seed of humans contains a complex range of organic and inorganic constituentsand it represents both a protection and a nourishment for the spermatozoa, during their journey through the female reproductive tract. The vaginal environment is in fact hostile to sperm cells, since it is a very acid environment (due to the microflora existing there that produces lactic acid), viscous and rich in immune cells. The many components present in the semen, favorable to the spermatozoa, try to counteract this hostile environment so that they can survive for the time necessary to reach the egg to be fertilized. The viscosity of the seminal fluid changes rapidly after emission; initially very dense and creamy, it tends to thin in times ranging from a few minutes to half an hour. The characteristic intense odor is due to the oxidation of the spermine in its volatile base.

Causes of poor / bad production of human semen

The increase in plasma homocysteine levels are directly or indirectly the cause of negative spermatogenesis with oligospermia and / or asthenospermia. Furthermore, it was found, in a Spanish case-control study, that in case of low intake of antioxidant foods such as folic acid , vitamin C and others, a bad quality of the male semen. The administration of antioxidants such as pentoxifylline , folic acid and zinc improve fertility in case of varicocele. Furthermore, the poor quality of the human semen is correlated to the methylation state of the human DNA in an inversely proportional way to the concentration of circulating folate.

Secretio ex libidine

There is a liquid emitted before ejaculation, called secretio ex libidine , which can be mistakenly confused with sperm , but usually it is not: it is a secretion with a lubricating action produced in good quantity by Cowper's bulb-urethral glands , placed around the urethra ; during an erection they can contract and secrete small amounts of liquid that lubricate the glans . There are no large-scale studies on this phenomenon and its biochemical structure is unknown .

In the secretio ex libidine , however, some spermatozoa can already be found which have made their way into the urethra separately from the others, and which can be released together with the secretion. This phenomenon, although quite rare, can be one of the causes of failure of the contraceptive practice of interrupted coitus . For this reason, moreover, doctors recommend wearing a condom already after petting , and in any case always before vaginal penetration .

The seed as a vector for the transmission of diseases

The elements that compose it are of high nutritional value and therefore are not, in themselves, harmful to health, if we exclude the possible presence of infectious viruses (eg HIV ) or bacteria.

Infected sperm, as genital secretion, can therefore be the vehicle for diseases such as AIDS , syphilis or gonorrhea , which can be transmitted through the exchange of body fluids; these diseases are therefore defined as "sexually transmitted" or "venereal".

For the human being, the only system of protection against these diseases is of a mechanical nature, through the use of a condom (or condom ), which prevents direct contact with body fluids and therefore avoids, unless there are leaks in the plastic structure, both the possible transmission of diseases and conception.

Allergy to human semen

There have been several cases, although rare, of an allergy to seminal fluid known as hypersensitivity to human semen , more precisely it is an allergy to a molecule contained in the seminal fluid, spermidine , this reaction can be by the female sex and by the male, in the latter case it is known as " POIS, Post Orgasmic Illness Syndrome ".

Symptoms can be localized or systemic and can include vaginal itching, redness, swelling of the labia majora and labia minora or boils even after 30 minutes of contact. They can also include generalized itching, hives, and sometimes they can even make it difficult to breathe or experience anaphylactic shock .

The best way to test if you suspect a hypersensitivity to human semen is to habitually use a condom during sexual intercourse, to see if the symptoms persist or disappear with the use of the same.

Milder cases of this allergy can often be overcome simply with repeated exposure to semen. Generally, normal sexual activity with a partner ejaculating directly into the vagina makes allergic women immune after just a few months.

On the other hand, in the most serious cases, in which the allergic state persists, it is essential to consult a doctor, especially if a couple is trying to conceive, where in this circumstance artificial insemination could be recommended with the purification of the sperm from the proteins that cause allergy.

Edibility of the sperm

The sperm of some animals is used as food for humans. For example, tuna sperm is the main ingredient of a typical Sicilian and Sardinian dish, lattume or figatello. In Romanian cuisine, the semen of carp and other freshwater fish is used in frying as a food, called Lapti (from the Latin Lactes). In Russian cuisine, herring sperm (молока, "Moloka") is marinated like the rest of the fish but eaten separately.

In 2008 Paul Photenhauer published Natural Harvest , a sperm-based recipe book, followed in 2013 by Semenology , in which the same author proposes sperm as an ingredient in drinks and cocktails.

Studies on the biological effects of sperm

Several scientific studies have been conducted to identify other possible biological effects of sperm, in addition to the reproductive one.

A recent study (June 2019) published in the Journal of Reproductive Immunology, indicates that oral sex is associated with a reduced incidence of recurrent miscarriages, probably due to exposure to paternal antigens that occurs through the absorption of sperm through the oral mucosa.

A scientific study from 2000, and subsequent studies, have suggested that greater exposure to the partner's sperm (either through fellatio ingestion or through other forms of sexual intercourse) by pregnant women may reduce the risk of preeclamptic syndrome and therefore of eclampsia.

A 2000 study by Prof Gordon Gallup, Dr Rebecca Burch and Dr Steven Platek suggested that sperm intake could have antidepressant effects. The study compared two groups of women, one of whom was using barrier contraceptive systems, the other not.

The results of a case-control study published in the journal Oncology in 1978 indicated that reduced exposure to sperm represented a risk factor for developing breast cancer. These results were confirmed by a subsequent study conducted from 1982 to 1985 by doctors Monique G.Lê, Annie Bacheloti and Catherine Hill which showed a significant decrease in the risk of developing breast cancer (p = 0.004) in women exposed to sperm.

Unfortunately it is. The magnitude of the damage is based on when exactly you fall asleep. That is not to say you cannot do other things to offset this, but just that you have to do more to make up for this. Unfortunately jobs don't compensate for this like they should.

I tried a lot of times to look for my symptoms in tcm but I'm never sure. I have cold limbs, constipation, high sex drive and a dermatits (acne and dundruff). My hairline is not good, I cannot understand if its just genetic or related to health issues. Thank you by the way, I'll try yo do something about it. After I started to meditate and take care of myself my health is now better but I still have some issues.

Thank you for this detailed explanation.

If I don't ejaculate any semen but I just arouse myself until I am about to orgasm, will my kidney energy (jing) still be taxed? Or also, if I orgasm without an ejaculation by holding it in, will that still tax the kidney energy (jing)?

Blizkrieg you seem very knowledgeable about how to diagnose ailments afflicting the body, if you have a moment, can you please read my thread on how to get rid of migraines caused by a possible brain aneurism? I am curious to see how it can be diagnosed and treated using TCM. Asking for a friend who is in pain. https://www.ancient-forums.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=56872

Back to the topic,
I think I have slight dark circles around my eyes with puffiness, not sure if they are sunken in, so that might be a yang defficiency... I believe a good example of someone who has dark circles that are sunken in is General Mattis the former US secretary of defense in 2016 who backstabbed trump towards the end of his term.

Thanks to everyone else too who gave me great ideas and books

What would you recommend is a good time to wake up or how long should one sleep if they go to sleep by 11pm? I'm waking up at 6 sometimes at 5 am if I have a busy day ahead of me. I feel like 8 hours of sleep is such a waste of time. It's a whole 1/3 of your day and I need the most time in a day I need.

I view sleep as simply recharging your mental and physical batteries. There isn't always an easy way around it. You know you are hitting your limits when you start having issues focusing or thinking, or physically feel exhausted, perhaps upset digestion or heat signs. Of course daily void and yoga will counteract these things.

If you do not feel like your daily work or meditations are affected, and you are able to perform at satisfactory efficiency, then your current amount of sleep is fine. If you find yourself with the above issues, or having motivation issues, then I would certainly look into resting more.

8 hours of sleep does seem like a long time, but I wouldn't view it as completely unproductive. You are recharging and healing at this time, and therefore it is important for a consistent, long-term effort. You shouldn't feel bad about sleeping enough, especially if a lack of sleep is making you need to take breaks during the day.

However, sleeping at 11pm ensures you also get the best rest possible, due to circadian timing and nighttime being the best yin time of the day. The time of waking doesn't matter as much as going to bed at around 11. I think a good middle ground would be to at least allow yourself to catch up sleep during the weekends or less busy days.

Healthier people need less sleep. Sleep is a balance between yin and yang. Those with too little yang will sleep too long, and those with too little yin will sleep too little.

This brings up the idea of doing some sort of working, likely with the sun or mars, such that your body rests faster and/or does not need as much sleep. Imagine even what 1 or 2 whole hours, let alone 3 or 4, added to your day can do. In most cases, this could be devoted entirely to meditation. Of course this may require a lot of energy for the working, but the end result seems worth it.

I didn’t know this was possible, thank you so much!

You mean sun squares and mars squares? What affirmations should one use if they want to sleep only 1-2 hours every night and have that be enough?

Thank you. This is very helpful and I'll keep the advice of the workings noted for future use.

I didn’t know this was possible, thank you so much!

This can be done by Mastering Yoga Nidra aka Trance sleep. Just one hour of deep Trance sleep recharges the Body after a whole day of strenuous work .

So when I was "power napping" I did this... Quite interesting. Only five to ten minutes of it will push the worst fatigue away and one is ready for more activities.

One hour of that state would be a great way to rejuvenate, I suppose.

Oh ok. What is “trance sleep”? You mean going into a deep trance without falling asleep?

For me it was the state between waking and sleeping. Aware of sounds, and visions at best, nothing else. Not sure if this qualifies as what Jack mentioned, but it was very refreshing.

It's called meditation. With only 20 minutes you can equate to a couple of hours sleep. Depends on the individual and advancement.

No workings needed. Just meditation. Meditating is a natural required state of the human body, a neccesity. Some normal people sleep mid day to do this. We are different, as in spiritually aware.

Being in a deep meditative state but still being conscious. You will have to create a spatial anchor so your consciousness does not fade into the sleep state ,when you go into Deep trance.

My spatial anchor is an eraser. I know what it feels like, what it looks like and how it's texture is and everything even when I'm imagining it. The Subconscious cannot separate reality from imagination. My mental imagination of the eraser is as real as the real eraser itself, to my mind. Since the eraser is real ,any visualization I do is also real around it.

As we go into deep trance, keep the spatial anchor in your hand (by imagining it) so you don't fall totally asleep. When you're in that dream state, you can now enact extreme change by visualizing a scenario happening and your subconscious will make it happen.

Doing this lying down is harder than normally sitting up ,but it can be done if you have the will.

Just search "Yoga Nidra" on b-ok.cc and there will be countless searches. Its essentially the same technique taught by Satyananda Saraswati being repackaged in different forms.

This has been very useful for me and others. Thank you for sharing.

It is a good way to practice trance training whilst simultaneously getting good rest. Good for vata people, or anyone who needs good recovery.

Personally, I wake up an hour early and practice it. After practicing entering the trance, I do void and directing energy practice.

It appears that the brain can clean itself when the body is in a deep enough relaxation, however, the only thing yoga nidra cannot easily do is give REM activity to the brain. Supposedly it is possible to have waking REM, if practiced, but this is certainly harder.

Therefore, combining yoga nidra with normal sleep seems to be the best option. Once one is adept in this, the efficacy and accessibility of it will increase as well. One can take a 15 minute, yoga nidra break, for example. This would prove more restful than 15 minutes laying in bed, on the phone.

Although it's been a long time since I studied lucid dreaming especially at the dreamviews community.

There was one article a person posted of their personal training. And they mentioned entering a trance and entering a lucid dream. You visualize a scene pick up a rock or object then try and enter it to go into the dream as consciously as possible. Something about zooming in on the rock or object pushes you inside of it.

Now of course it's a dream projection not a astral projection as the person enters the dream rather than come out of their body.

Seems easier said than done. I'm sure dream entering and dream practicing are needed much like astral projection training.

Doing prolonged "edging" can tax the kidney yang energy a bit. It is not a huge amount overall, however, staying in an aroused, next-to-orgasm, state, is not exactly normal. I think if you can go through with the orgasm itself, without ejaculation, then this is more ideal, and shouldn't be problematic.

The jing itself is a substance made by the kidneys which is like dense yin, or stem cells. It is one of the "treasures" of the body. However, the kidneys have their own general yin and yang components, separate from jing. In addition, food intake and the health of the spleen influence the creation of jing as well.

What you describe with your eyes sounds like a bit of both yin and yang deficiency. A deficiency in one leads to the other. This certainly explains why you feel the tiredness the next day after orgasm, as the kidneys get put under a larger workload to create new semen.

If you look at this article I wrote on kidney health, then you can figure out ways to help yourself. Extend your masturbation frequency a little, to perhaps 4 or 5 days. As you do more for your kidneys, then you should feel less and less tired after the orgasm at the end of that interval. This reflects the kidneys getting stronger.

One of the biggest strains on the kidneys is staying up late, so put focus on this as well. Next would probably be either diet or lack of exercise, so make sure to make the appropriate modifications and always do yoga daily.

You can take herbal formulas, as well, but one has to know about the full state of the body for the best diagnosis and subsequent treatment prescription. I would suggest seeing a TCM practitioner for this. You can also do this online, relatively cheaply.
