This will work and this is an aura of protection. It just that affirmation used is for freeing or cleaning yourself rather than protecting you. They all work the same but the protection needs to be done everyday. This working you posted will work and you can even do it everyday like a protection but obviously if you only do it for 40 days its not like you will need to stop your protection/cleaning, that is something you need to do it everyday.

The same work with the Sowilo rune worked very well for me but changing a little the affirmation "In a positive and healthy way for me, I am completely and permanently protected and shielded from all negative planetary transits and influences".
