Spirituality (or better the true spirituality) is not practiced anymore, along with the contaminated food and probably water there is not enough Vitamins and Minerals in it. All of this leaves someone open to diseases.

It also happens due to negative karma from past lives, planetary positions which manifest this and other positions which are subtly connected with past life karma.
