lamming Congress leader and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan for his suggestion to appropriate gold from religious bodies, Hindu priests, on Thursday said that money should instead be taken from accounts of Congress leaders.

"Before taking gold from Hindu temples, money should be taken to combat Coronavirus from Congress leaders who have amassed huge wealth since independence," said Swami Paramhans, Tapaswi Chhawni.

Mahant Kamal Nayan Das, Uttaradhikari, Mani Ram Das Chavni alleged that Congress leaders are 'anti-national' and questioned why Chavan was seeking to borrow money from trusts and 'not from mosques and churches'.
