Changing mentality

Hey everyone, my question:
I want to change my general mentality and mindset(and approach to the life etc), but I don't know where the problem/s is/are. I just feel there's something wrong, but I can't rationally find the specific cause. (I mean, rationally it's all ok lol there is no real problem, but I feel something "wrong" inconsciously, which is emerging with constant yoga which is radically clearing my mind/soul).
I would like to re-program my mind with a "pack" of daily affirmations (or even a working, I accept advices :D) to "steer away" from my actual mindset and to rectify my growth on a solid path, giving my mind solid bases. I've already done some general karma workings.
But I'm confused, I've no clue about what affirmations I could use and how to tackle every area of my life/mindset (and I don't even know on what the affirmations should focus , the only thing I know is, affirmations work lol and they are an excellent way to carve a positive mindset in the mind).

You know on my path to finding JoS, I got really involved in self improvement books and groups..

I believe the best thing I was ever taught..

Was to sit down daily with a pen and paper, and write down 20 things that will make your life better.

(I remember after learning about this, I combined this with the knowledge I learned from The Secret to try to become more amiable :P)

Well anyways heres what im saying, Write out 20 things that will make your life better, preferably short term goals, now look at each one of those goals.
Which ones are most important to you? Whats holding you back from completing that goal? Make some affirmations to complete that goal ;D

As I have no idea what kind of mindset you have at the current moment my reply might seem a bit broad.

To change mindset of oneself the person has to look within. What do I believe in, how do I react in situations, What are my ideals among other things. To change, one must understand which is where meditation comes in. Meditate upon questions and the mind will find answers. Upon understanding who you are find what it is you want to change. If for example you find that you are prone to outbursts of anger reign in and control the emotion and energy. If you find that you are constantly worrying about things learn how to void these thoughts out when it isn't needed. A change in mentality starts with understanding your mentality. You say you don't know where the problem is, that's where you start. Learn what the problem is. From there its all about which direction you go.

What do you mean "steer away from my actual mindset"? The mindset you associate with yourself should be positive and everything you want yourself to be. The negative stuff you should disassociate from yourself and consider it an outer pest, to be removed or improved upon.

You shouldn't "steer away from your self" and "its tendencies" because affirmationally, thats dumb af. You want to embrace yourself and your shortcomings to improve upon them eventually. If you think that your "actual mindset" is negative in any way then your actual mindset will be negative in the way you specify (and any time you try and improve it-you will fall short, because improving is not your mindset, it will feel unnatural for no reason other than you subconsciously think you have a negative mind/thoughts etc.)

So to sum it up, say to yourself and acknowledge: "I have a positive mindset and am steering myself away from my negative tendencies, problems etc. They are not of me etc." (and you see where I'm going with this?)

^Honestly bro XD, why you saying "actual mindset"?

My take on it is that all these self help books are complete shit, for us Satanists, they give a fake sense of motivation that goes away 2 days after you finish the book, they always focus on you becoming rich or yadda yadda yadda, what I find the best are the sermons from the Hps, they give you real reasons to be motivated and actually help you

I don't know if they're "complete shit" since in many of them they spit the famous phrase of "you are what your thoughts are" so there IS a spark of truth in these books, aside from the all the hype they sell. Not much emphasis is done on that specific phrase, which is the real secret they're promoting, these books focus on some other stupidity so 90% of the readers forget about it and end up depressed because they don't fulfill their needs.
