Sorry for the newbie question. I've recently started to open some chakras with thor. The thing is: I've begun on a Waning Moon (moon in aquarius), the jos says to prefer a Waxing Moon. Is it gonna work 100% as if it was a waxing moon?

It will still work, just a little less than a waxing moon. Waning= removing, decreasing, closing. Waxing= increasing, opening, strengthening. The same type of cycle happens every day with the sun, the morning the sun is waxing and strengthening then it wanes when it sets. Instead of Thor, call it Thaur, that's the strongest version.

Thurs works best for me than Thaur, so I guess it's individual what's more powerful. Sol works best for me than other variations. I tried Saul for some days (that's the pronunciation, as instructed in the base chakra meditation page, of Sauil) and I felt a decrease in energies raised despite the amount of reps being the same.

As for using the Thor rune for opening chakra, since you started with waning moon in Aquarius, it works more on a level of "removing blockages" from the chakra.

Yes, I find Sol even more powerful than Sowilo sometimes.
Yeah lol, that was my plan, since I didn't want to wait the next waxing moon I thought that the Aquarius moon could troll the waning moon.

I guess it has to do with having worked more with those in a past life. I'm not sure. Also, some rituals require certain spellings of a rune. For example, in the Racial Awareness ritual we use only Norse rune and when someone suggested Saul instead of Sol they were told that Sol was more appropriate to the ritual.

The Necronomicon meditation work amazingly well for some because I think some are more attuned and aligned in some odd way. I think there is a openness to a psychological aspect of the words of power, morphic, principles of structure, resonances and association connections, mental constructs... that gives it more power, or something....

I have theories that are a bit odd but too much to go into, save to say it depends on the person but there will be some effect in any case. I do ''know'' they work well with some not as well with others and it has to do with an aspect of alignment and construct structure.

A combination of doing them and the runes would be best in some cases, though the effect would be......contextually dependent. Relative.
