For those that do not know.. The netherlands is half underneath the sea level.
The ground water level is usually high. The grasslands are having cracks in the dirt from the drought.

That we have places here that catch on fire like this, says a lot. It is also this dry in Germany.

I have felt the weather change and I have seen the rain clouds but it hasnt rained properly aside from once in the last 3 months or so.

This is not the only problem.

With walls of dirt (clay, peat) that keep us save from the water, this water on water routes can now push aside those walls and flood places as theyd no longer be having the strength needed to keep it back and thus keep our houses dry.

One of the last times this happened in the netherlands was in 2003.
