I happened across this Reddit thread about partners appreciating their Boyfriend's/Husband's Body, regardless of insecurity and low self-esteem problems. As one poster said,

This thread is wholesome asf. Sex ed needs to get better.
Now if that 420 is a weed-head, then it's amazing that even one of them can notice and realise such a thing! If they are not a weed-head, then it is still true, regardless.

I think it a very important thing, and it is to encourage anyone to not have to rely on shit porn and lust all of the time. There have been, and I'm sure there will be in the future, discussions about porn usage, so there are those threads to read about those, and lust is not a bad thing, necessarily. There are also threads regarding prostitution and brothels, as well.

I am sharing this to try and give some of you who might need it some Good Feels, Bros and Sisses (ordinarily, I would add the 'Good Feelz, Bro' meme here, but I don't want to lower the tone of this), and for encouragement of a good and intimate, loving thing. Any newbie or oldie coming here with insecurity and low self-esteem problems can be encouraged to feel happy about yourself. This can be for Mental and Psychological health, as well as Sexual and Emotional health, which can lead to or include Body/Physical health, which, of course, overall, includes Spiritual health. As has been said, and as is so obvious, people need Sexual contact and intimacy with someone or a select few (keep healthy!).

So true!

(Sorry to tangent) I know something that's helped me a lot recently in quitting porn is massage therapy, because what I was really lacking was affection and non-sexual intimacy with another person (I don't remember the word for it right now :/ ). Sure it is also great for helping in other ways too, but for me specifically connecting with someone else even if it's just them working on me is much better than sitting at home chilling out and wishing I could find someone in this town. Plus the conversations I've had with the people who've I've met so far through massage therapy have been nice :) Though most of them are religious :/

In the schools I attended there was never sex ed. So I think I'm kind of lucky. Never having watched porn also has helped develop my expectations for a relationship, instead of having someone else's expectations put in my mind.

Adding to what many have said, I think many people should also understand that acceptance doesn't mean that one stops fighting what is negative. They just accept flaws are part of them now and they work on overcoming. Things like excessive fat, excessive muscles, extreme thinness, acne and so on. Of course, one can't overcome having brown eyes instead of blue eyes, as that is not a flaw.

My sex ed class also called the baby class showed us a bunch of pictures with extremely gross std and sti on people bodies. then they gave us a fake baby to take care of.
