Kemet before Christianity

Kemet doesn't refer to what those people think it refers. Kemet meaning black land is just a name for the fertile basin around the river nile, which was made black (fertile) by the river waters. It's not a name for the Egyptian nation. And definitely the "black" part doesn't refer to a race or any people, only the soil, like the name Black Sea doesn't mean the fish there are black. The desert/barren parts of the land of Egypt were called Deshret, meaning red land and that's where the English word desert comes from. I've never seen anyone claiming Deshret refers to Egyptians being Native Americans or call something related to Ancient Egypt as "Deshretic".
