I am new too! The best place to really start is the JOS site, it is a very helpful information and pretty much answers a lot of questions that may be stewing inside your head. As for your other questions, I pretty much asked that too, so we shall wait for one of the high priest/priestesses to answer ^_^.

There are grounding meditations you can do. Being a healer myself its best to use the energy of the plants rather then your own. Less depletion that way.

I agree with you on that?! :-) but then again bringing out your own energy and connected with the planetary energy in the cosmic energy around you pulls you closer to Satan and brings you up on a higher level with your magical skills and your frequency levels
