WARNING: Don't use your seed wallet like an exchange while making a donation!

On three different occasions, members expressed that they do it this way, which shouldn't be done. Priest Alexandros Iowno also warned that it is best to send it to your own seed wallet first (Exodus/Trust wallet), then to HoO AFTER the purchase is complete via an exchange. Exchanges are apps such as Binance, Coinbase, and Kraken.

It is tens of times more expensive if you use your seed wallet to buy crypto and send it to HoO! Seed wallets are wallets like Trust, Exodus, MetaMask.

  • If you have 100 USD and buy crypto in a seed wallet, then send it to HoO, the HoO will receive 80 USD.

  • If you buy crypto in an exchange app, send it to your seed wallet, then send it to the final destination, the HoO will receive 99 USD.

Your money is wasted on fees, Hall of Osiris receives less. Don't do this! Don't waste your money. Seed wallets like Trust Wallet do not ask your private information unless you try to buy crypto in it. This is the step that keeps you anonymous. When you try to buy crypto in Trust Wallet via dealers like MoonPay, they will ask for your private information and want you to scan your ID card. They can make you state what you are going to do with that crypto, ask questions, ban you, etc.

What you must do at the first step is to go to an exchange. Use your search engine ''What is the best crypto exchange in <country/state>''. You buy your crypto via an exchange. Send it to your seed wallet. Some countries's regulations require you to declare what you are doing with crypto. You will declare ''I'm withdrawing it to my own wallet.'' Then send it to HoO address from your wallet. After withdrawing it to your wallet, Trust Wallet etc. will not ask questions about what you are going to do with that crypto. It is your personal wallet like the one in your pocket.

Your seed wallet is your wallet. Exchanges are, well, exchanges. They are like banks you can sell your currency and buy another currency. In this case the currency you buy is a crypto coin. If you buy it in your wallet app a third party will be involved, for example Moonpay, Alchemy Pay, Banxa, and it will be much more expensive.

In records if your government regulates the exchanges, you are sending it to your own wallet. It is perfectly fine. You will not get banned by the exchange. You will stay safe. It will be cheaper.

Local regulations may pose challenges, we figure it out together. There is very detailed guide NG Maelstorm made for Turkish members.

Ask any questions in forums or VT chat. Most importantly, don't forget that your bank or government has no right to tell you how to use your money. It is your money. They try to control and watch our every movement. We shouldn't allow our world to turn into 1984, Big Brother watching our every movement. There is a member who managed to buy a Yule raffle ticket from Russia, and won a prize in the raffle. Fortune favours the brave. When there is a will there's a way. Thanks! Im playing around with it and figuring it out.

So I have crypto.com. I sent $56 to my seed wallet Trust. It received $41.77. Thats $15 in fees. That seems ridiculous. I then found the codes of differnt crypto in hall of Osiris. I sent $40. Which translated as $39.97.

Its currently pending. So I dont see a transaction ID yet. Maybe crypto is a good one? Or is this amount of fees normal?

Buy from the market, and either: 1. Send directly from there to the Hall of Osiris, or 2. Send to your personal wallet, and send to Hall of Osiris from there.

That's too much in fees. Sending $400 worth of TRX from Binance to Trust was $0.5 the last time I did it and it was fixed regardless of the amount I sent as long as it is TRX (Tron).

Sending $40 and receiving $39.97 is normal.

I did not use crypto.com before. Which coin was it? Was it all transaction fees? Ethereum transaction fees can be 5-30 USD and Bitcoin is usually expensive too.

I have submitted $39.97 to the HoO. Its not alot. But im still trying to figure this out. Let me download Binance and see if that works better. Thank you for your help!

Buy from the market, and either: 1. Send directly from there to the Hall of Osiris, or 2. Send to your personal wallet, and send to Hall of Osiris from there.

I am working on sending small amounts till I get this figured out. Once I have an avenue it will be all set.

I am curious is there a price to become tier 1? Or will the $40 donation set me in that bracket? Once tier one from what I understand it will open into rituals with prices.

Ok so trying to send $25 from crypto.com to HoO the fees were $10.30 lol. So I downloaded binance. I bought $20 ETH. It gave me $19.45. So I tried to send $19. It said the fee was $1 and some change, being able to send $17.95. That sounds alot better. I will definitely be using Binance.

Tier 1 is indeed something small like that. Tier 2 is not that much either, in the bigger picture anyhow. Tier 3 is is a few thousand minimum. It is also possible to rise in ranks with contributions to various tasks, such as translations and Outreach.

I have been approved, I am Tier 1!
So looking at the rituals. Am I understanding this correctly? If I reach the lowest ritual price of Tier 2, I am then Tier 2? And if I reach the highest price of Tier 4, then I have unlocked all the rituals? Like each rituals isnt a new price starting at zero. The highest ritual gets you all the current rituals?

No, you need to request a tier elevation. I think it would be better to ask HoO platform-related questions inside the Hall of Osiris.

This is good advice. With such limited options given my location and bank I learned this the hard way. I was losing a good 30%+ of my what I first paid by the time I'd sent to HoO. Now using Luno, Trust Walelt and transacting with Ripple it's less than a tenth of that.

The amount of fees should be cleary visible during the transaction process, and on the website in the pricing, or other section. If there is no clear pricing visible anywhere, AVOID. I recall the Priest having mentioned one scammy place in the past, can't remember which, that did not have clear pricing. It is common sense, after all.

It is not a Zoom call. It is to coordinate rituals, Clergy gives the go and we start them at the same time. It is a live chat.

Also want to point this out so others don't fall for the same mistake i did, if you use trust wallet do not buy crypto in the app, as it uses Moonpay. Instead go to the Moon pay app itself, then buy whatever crypto the HoO supports and what you feel like getting, then after purchasing the crypto transfer it to a wallet then once it is in your wallet then donate it. I wish i did this to begin with as moonpay banned me for no reason that they want to tell me when all i did was buy crypto and send it to the HoO. To reiterate, it should be safe if it is your only option to buy crypto on the moonpay app itself, then transfer the crypto to an external wallet, like trustwallet which is what i personally use, then you send it to the HoO, this way they can't see it and they cannot ban you too. Also if you get banned by moonpay, you cannot make a new account either as it immediately restricts it from any kind of purchase. Hope this helps someone avoid a headache if using the moonpay method for whatever reason.

... Recently, to just move basic amounts of Bitcoin, it literally asks extraordinary fees that disallow people who want to make small donations from donating. The majority of donations that falls in this category can in many cases experience the following issues:

1. Big fee from exchange
2. Bigger fee from the Bitcoin Network [sometimes up to 30$ as I checked now, which is insane].
3. If you try to "reduce" the fee, the transaction might take days.
4. If you donate from a physical ATM, it can take 9% of the money as well in certain cases.

I officially hate crypto lol. I have tried differnt accounts. Always some kind of error, doesnt like my card, wants more verification but wont have me give it. Won't send the money. Had one account buy some etherium, now phrase doesnt work, when its 100% the phrase. Locks up my money.

So I will go to crypto.com and just pay big fees for something that works. Lets me sell something and put it into a stock. Then I sold something else I have $40 in fiat wallet, a week later still only lets me use $7 of it.

I will keep messing with this over the next couple months I guess. They have intentionally made this as difficult as possible. I really wish there was something else. Crypto is garbage.

I understand the pain. Cards don't work for me, the only way it works is depositing money into Binance TR with EFT/direct transfer from the bank using the IBAN they provide in the Binance TR app. This has proved to be both very cheap and fast. Have you tried that? I am not sure how local regulations differ here, but if it is possible, I absolutely recommend this. Binance TR and Binance Global accounts are connected, so it is easy from that point on.
