I completely agree, with you cypsiskilla. Being a new member I have had my mind filled with thoughts, that break up my meditations..

Void meditation, to me, is not the ignoring of all thoughts, but rather, to control the thoughts. Only let in the ones that you wish to come in. If I am doing void meditation, or any other meditation, and an unwanted thought happens to come into my mind, (happens a lot at first

) I visualize this thought changing into an arrow and then I shoot it out into space with a bow. Of course, how you do this is entirely up to you. Dismissing the thought can be done in countless ways, it's easier for me to visualize it being shot out of sight so that I know it is gone.
Dismiss the thoughts that do not belong with your meditation and keep/control the ones you need to continue. Simple example: doing breathing exercises, counting in your head is fine, but dismiss all other unwanted thoughts.
I hope this advice helps.
