Thanks to the people who replied to my dedication ritual story, it's highly appreciated and I feel very "at home" and elated now. Anyway, immidiately following my dedication, I began the "Spiritual Warfare Training Program for Satanists" as found on the JoS website. The first week of training involves practicing inducing a trance state. So far, I know I haven't achieved a trance yet. I've tried three times, once on each of the days so far (I'd do it more often, but once I finish what I wanted to do for the day as a student, I only have so much time before I should get to bed so I'm awake for school the next day). The first two times I tried sitting in a cross-legged way, and after a short while I felt like my head was much higher up than my body, almost like I had been stretched out and I was half liquid, kinda like when you pull on a marshmallow in two opposing directions. I managed to get a dizzy feeling the second time as the JoS website says is likely to happen, but I just stopped myself then, forgetting how to react to that situation. The third day I decided being cross-legged touches too much surface and thus gives me more feelings in my body that will distract me from inducing a trance, so I sat on the edge of my bed (because my chair is still covered in clothing and Halloween stuff). I think it worked a little better, but about 15 minutes into the training, as I was beginning to feel very dizzy and almost slipping away, I felt my right leg being lifted in awkward jerks an inch or so upwards every few seconds. Eventually, my toe lightly touched an article of clothing I left by my bed, which felt almost like the tickle of a bug or a finger, so I freaked out a little after a minute or so of feeling the sensation and got out of the "premature trance" (I'd like to call it) just in case a spider or something got on my foot, as my feet were close to the floor and it is Autumn after all. I was definitely not in a trance because I wasn't in pain or had any problems awakening from it. My questions are: The odd jerking of my leg, do you think that is just a natural reaction of my body to the falling effect, or something else? I also feel a lot of strange tingling all over my body when I try to induce a trance, is there something I can do to stop that? Should I have a support for my back? Because I've been sitting straight trying to balance my body without much support. Tonight I will clear my chair and try to induce a trance with my back supported. I don't think I have ever lost total feeling of my body, is this just because I'm plainly bad at inducing a trance and need more practice? Also, if I feel like I definitely need more practice inducing a trance, should I keep practicing trances into week two of training and delay "Flame Concentration" (Week two's training) for a later time, or should I start Flame Concentration at the same time I continue trance practice? Either way, I'm sure I should practice trances everyday beyond week one, so I pretty much know the answer to that question (practice Flame Concentration on the scheduled date, but keep practicing trances anyway). Thanks for reading my post. Hail Satan!!

Sounds like you WERE in a successful trance! I never have pain coming out a trance unless someone scares the crap out of me while im in one. Those sensations were positive signs. The sensation on the leg might be a sign as well because you are more aware of yourself and surroundings during a trance. Dont stress trances, the point of trances are to put your mind and body in a super relaxed state. In this state, your concentration and visualisations are way clearer and more vivid. To go into an even deeper trance, focus longer on the falling sensation. Its up to you if want to perform the flame exercise in the same day but i would recommend (as i like to push others) to continue working on deepening the trance and continue with the program as well. Just dont stress about these exercises, the key is to relax.

Good Job!
HAIL SATAN!

Really? Well that's good. I have noticed that I hear the odd creaking sounds around my room like someone is walking around coming from nothing, which isn't new, but in the trance the sounds are a lot louder. I suppose you're right, my senses are heightened when I attempt a trance, and it isn't surprising that being awakened from the trance isn't painful, except I imagine it would be if I was in a really deep trance. Which reminds me, I usually try to stay in the trance until I am suddenly awakened by nothing, like I get distracted abruptly and can actually feel myself coming back and I feel cold and light. Then, I can't get back into a trance nor do I feel the mental capability to try to attempt another trance, almost like a car running out of gas, I can't go on. It's like my mind finished being in a trance and wants to get back to reality, which could be another hint that I indeed have managed to be in a trance before. I suppose I'm just doubting myself more than I thought. Thanks for your help, it's comforting to know I am progressing. Hail Satan!
