Sudden strength loss

There is a problem that I've had in the past which was of a short period but seems to have returned, for now.

What happened is I'd ie sit down somewhere or lay down and relax and then when I want to get up again I have to pull myself up because there is no strength to sit up again by myself. Limbs feel heavy and stuff is hard to do. After a couple of days this would be gone.

I am not sure if this is even common or very heard of or anything but I figured I might try to start talking about this here because it might be something we get to deal with in the future.

The other times I know I had been very stressed, and this time I am not quite sure. I've had not been sleeping well (ie sleeping short waking up repeatedly - I even woke up once every 2 hours at some point - and not being able to sleep more while you're still tired). Then I felt sick like there was something in my blood that was too much and I drunk tea (nettle) which seems to help and I haven't felt so sick. But after being busy all day and then getting home and deciding to sit down I already noticed my arms felt more heavy than usual/is normal.

I don't feel so strength less like i have felt in the past but Im going to sit and take a rest today.

Hmm.. Maybe Central Force can help with this. These symptoms seem a bit vague and their needs to be an overview of you entire health or habits to come to a conclusion.
What is your diet like? How long have you had this? Did this occur after stress? How old are you?

This sounds like Dampness. And possible heat. When you say you felt sick like there was too much in your blood what other accompanying symptoms were there?

Not really much I might have had a slight headache and I can't describe it very well because it was a vague feeling, like it was pushing something to the edge and I thought it had to do with my blood because it seemed to be spreaded around by it like it had become a complete mess (ok maybe Im talking nonsense).
I think the best description of the feeling I could give you is like before you come down with the flu and want to throw up without the sick feeling in your stomach. (I remember before completely getting sick with the flu I first threw up)

In the past I thought it was because of stress or things like that now I am not so sure. I feel better at the moment than this morning though which Im glad with. Going to sleep soon though.

Heat doesn't actually sound like I'd have problems with, I have a tendency to put warm clothes on somewhat earlier than most.

Do you get sinus congestion? As HP Shannon asked, what is your diet like? Do you eat a lot of greasy fried foods? A lot of raw fruit and vegetables?

Nettle is a strong mover of Stomach and Spleen Qi through its actions on relaxing the liver - stress can induce Liver Qi Stagnation which can invade the Stomach and Spleen, the two organs responsible for clearing damp heavy things from the body. When they are invaded, their transforming and transporting functions are impaired and heavy things, damp things tend to accumulate. That is the heavy feeling in your limbs.

for so far I know I've never had problems with my sinuses, But last time I had a cold I did feel some odd pressure next to my nose on both sides.

I eat volkoren (whole grain says the translator) bread, a slice with cheese and a slice with something like meat, sometimes I put something different on it like honey.

depending on when I wake up and how hungry I am that goes once or twice a day and from 2 slices one meal to a max of 4 on occasion.

Dinner, soup, cooked potatoes, cooked vegetables and some meat.

Irregularities:
Friday evening - fries (but I don't always like it so it can be that I don't eat it for months) with salad. which is actually prepackaged and only needs sauce to add.

saturday evening - volkoren bread with baked egg (not always)

Sunday morning - white bread with tea and a boiled egg.

For snacks I tend to eat cookies troughout the day but I try to eat apples and bananas instead however I really <3 chocolate it seems I can't go without it for longer than 2 weeks. So I eat that quite regulary too.

The day before last friday I did drink tea at my education site which was made of different herbs (didn't read which ones) but I think it might be better if I try another tea instead. I might have drunk something that I couldn't handle well too.

no. one time a day at breakfast and/or lunch. Those aren't to be seen connected lol.

I don't understand how that couldn't be clear. Yet I am not orignal english and I tend to have more miscommunication with people than I think is normal.

Can you describe the appearance of your tongue to me? What colour is it? What colour is the coat (if there is a coating)? Are there any cracks or irregularities? Does it appear wet or dry?

Are there teeth marks on the edge? Is the tongue body wide or thin?

Anything else which you can see?

well its hard to describe.
Color is pink there is a slight layer on top of it that is yellowish/white but not very thick.
in the middle of my tongue is not really a crack but the papils are not something like sticking together like the others.

I don't think there are teeth marks on the edge.. and thats about all I could say for I have no idea what other words I could use to give a description.

Does your tongue fill up your mouth?

Does it extend out of your mouth very far or does it appear 'short'?

And the white/yellow coating, is it spotty or are there areas of the tongue where the tongue body is not so visible under the coating?

as in filling that I'd bite it when I put my teeth unto one another, no but there is no extra space either.

and no I can't stick my tongue out very far because the attachment at the bottom would hit my front teeth.

the coating is not spotty, so the latter.

Im thinking of getting my blood checked out if I am missing any vitamins.

If you want I could send you a picture but I think you are having second thoughts about that.

No, if you want to send a picture that is quite ok with me provided you are comfortable doing so.

It sounds as though the problem is Dampness though. There is a simple Chinese herbal formula for this - Er Chen Wan.

It contains Pinelia Turnata, Citrus Reticilata, licorice root and Poria Cocos - the first two work synergistically to resolve damp whilst Poria Cocos drains Dampness via urination and Licorice root protects the Spleen and Stomach and moderates the effects of the other herbs.

I have tried looking up what you recommended, and basicly, I have not found a thing.

licorice is easy to come by here, but pinelia turnata is a native herb to CHINA its a weed found in Germany and Austria though but it is not cultivated anywhere, neither is it native to europe.
So I tried looking it up on the internet, but all I found was tea pills with a dollar sign next to them (meaning its either sold in the USA or some other country that uses dollar as their currency) and shipping costs are just way too expensive and then this stuff can get confiscated too when passing borders.
So thats a no-go.

oh by the way, compare this:
http://www.amazon.de/s/ref=nb_sb_noss/2 ... r+chen+wan

http://wingmingherbs.com/plum-flower/44 ... -wan-.html  The first one is a search result on german amazon, and the second is a search result trough the searching machine. If you just look at the price difference, those people make an impossible profit it seems. You still get more dollars for 1 euro.

I don't know what the currency conversion rate is between euros and dollars but the herbs are generally about $14 Australian Dollars.

Teapills are exactly what I was recommending, sorry I should have been more specific.

They are still significantly cheaper than any pharmaceutical medicines (some of which cost hundreds of dollars but are government subsidised). I don't think they would be confiscated as teapills, they are designed to be exported - unless you live somewhere which is currently under total Muslim law or something...

I do not understand why it is so expensive where you live... That is the first time I have ever seen it sold for such an exorbitant price... Can you not purchase it from the US or Britain and pay the postage?

Thanks for the effort centralforce , sadly enough I couldn't find a price list so I filled in the contact form with a question. Maybe that will enlighten the case.

You can recreate one of the peels from the formula which might assist you - Chen Pi or Tangerine Peel can be obtained from the skin of the fruit of citrus reticulata which is Mandarin oranges or tangerines, depending on what they are called where you live. Simply remove the peel and leave to dry on a tray preferably out of the sun until it is very dry and hard. The older the skin, the more effective it is.

Just be sure not to leave it in an enclosed space while it is drying because it will just go mouldy.

Take it three times a day, for your condition three pieces each the size of your thumb at every time you have it - so nine pieces a day total.

It's better if the peel is NOT in the sun while it is drying out. The sun will make it too Yang which can cause other problems.

I would recommend doing it the natural way. I put mine on a perforated tray and leave on the kitchen bench for a few days out of direct sunlight. It dries within 3-4 days to a usable form - my daughter has an inclination toward damp in t lungs which is what i use it for predominantly.

aaah okay. Do you happen to know anything about feng sui too? or stuff like if you'd sleep in a room thats in the north .. or something like that?

I've certainly heard many things about it but I cannot consider myself trained and qualified by any stretch of the imagination but I will say that it may perhaps be more of a material representation of the soul's alignment with the elements etc. But really that question is beyond the scope of this group, and is better asked in the main Joy of Satan e groups.
