What is it exactly that makes you think that your guardian said this? In anyways, nicotine gums or vape is a healthier way to get some nicotine, nicotine itself is not all that horrible.

I'd like to speak in defense of the questioner—if he's been smoking for a long time, quitting abruptly could be harmful. You need to quit gradually, and his GD might have meant this—abruptly quitting after a long history can be extremely harmful. And due to poor communication and misunderstanding, he could have interpreted his words this way. I've been an initiate for many years, but I still can't say I communicate directly with GD or anyone else. I only have signs, dreams, and so on—and you need to know how to interpret them. Perhaps that's the issue.
