It depends what you mean by self importance? If you mean narcissism or an inflated sense of ego then you have to realise that basically you are a tiny spec of humanity in your country, which is a tiny part of the Earth, which is a tiny spec of dust in the cosmos. If you disappear tomorrow, the world will carry on the same as it does now. Your loved ones may be sad, then when they are also gone in a few generations, you'll be forgotten. Therefore self importance = falsehood. No self is important, objectively speaking.
In addition to that, almost everything you have, you have because of someone else. The food in your house, was made by other people, farmers, factory workers etc. You house was built by other people. The car you drive, the clothes you wear, even the language you use. All of us are completely dependent on society for the lives we are accustomed to.
Even if you are a multi millionaire, you needed someone else to print that money and manufacture the things you can purchase with it and someone to work for or work for you and of course there would be no monetary system without a society.
Nothing you do means anything in an objective sense. What has meaning in your life only has meaning to you and those of like mind. You live in a world which is largely indifferent to your existence and in a universe which is absolutely indifferent to your existence. Yes, we have other sentient beings such as the Gods who have devoted themselves to elavating and teaching humanity and our fellow Zevism, but they too are other sentient beings, with subjective individual wills of their own.
Now knowing this, invest your efforts into things that serve YOU in the long run, such as power meditation and advancing your soul to godhood. Do not try to be important to the world, do what's important to you. You have the chance now to ascend to Godhood and immortality. Is that not important to yourself? I am self important, absolutely self important, I am so self important I invest nearly all my time and efforts into advancing my mind and soul and don't waste time on trivia.
