Satanic perspective on asceticism, monasticism, and hermits?

As the title says, I am interested in the proper Satanic perspective on these. Lately I have been feeling drawn to retreating from modern life as best as I am able to focus completely on my advancement. Is there any value towards feeling drawn towards a simple life which focuses on gaining spiritual power, or is this a Xian hangup I need to overcome? I am not sure if being drawn to this sort of thing is an organic part of my personality, or due to Xian programming. Are some people meant to completely focus on spirituality, or is my lack of interest in a career, mate, etc. due to problems?

Also, I thought we could turn this into a general thread for this sort of thing if that's ok, so if people who are interested have other points of view that my questions don't cover, feel free to post them if the mods are okay with it.

This is all essentially bullshit.

These people are always finding excuses to be away from life, and dead, as they were meant to be in the first place, as such abomination births who live 'for the next world' were only kept around due to incessant and misplaced mercy.

Asceticism leads nowhere in an increase of power. These frail individuals who cannot do anything should give testament to this.

I have had enough 'socialism', 'veganism', 'asceticism', 'celibacy', and people claiming they are not essentially CHRISTIANS all over again.

The frailty of present day humanity leaves me in awe.

I wonder why some people have sinked in all the dross of the enemy, simply because it was paraded around with some sort of "Satan" name, and "Demons" here and there.

The situation with people being no lifers has created tremendous mental illnesses to people.

Asceticism in the old Sanskrit means discipline like an artform to be mastered, in the east the Taoist's would travel into the monasteries which where the schools and be taught practices. the style of life in the Temple was built around sustaining the community at the Temple. Higher level individuals would go to area's and work in private with the higher level practices to transmute themselves into the perfected state. The Taoist texts and histories mention this. Same in India, the Greeks had Padmos the Island of Dionysus where the people would go into hermitage to work on the higher level practices.

The monk's image with the shaven head and such was stolen off the Pagan's the head was shaved that way to deal with serpent energy coming up the spine to the top of the head. The spiritual adepts shaved their body hair and the women wore wigs for this reason the energy can give rashes on the skin and scalp.

The point of this life was to be able to focus on the practices without external distractions of mundane life. Then when the work was finished people went back into the world and lived their lives as they wished. Have fun dealing with this all with bills to pay and several children to take care of and a household to run. In Vedic society for mundane people the serious level practices where given once they retired and their children had grown up and where living their own lives.

If you want to live a minimalist life style and focus your time on your practices and study that is a smart thing. This will unfold naturally as time goes on. Look at your chart and note what your likes are and also think about developing yourself there as well and do whatever you want with that in life.

I am not a Xian and I'm not considering doing some thing where I give things up for the sake of giving them up. What I would like to do is just a type of "functional" seclusion, for the goal of practically obtaining power. I just feel like I have so much nonsense that takes up my time throughout the day. I would rather get enough independent wealth to stay home and meditate and do Rituals. Also, I find the aesthetics of living in the woods by myself and meditating to be attractive, so I was wondering if there was some Satanic tradition behind this, which modern Xian monasticism perverted.

But I see your point on not dropping out of society, renouncing power, etc.

Something people should do is work to avoid becoming into debt as this will suck you into a cycle that takes all your time in any slave job and exhausts you. The situation is some teenager goes to their parents and school counsellor and gets told they have to go to college or university to get ahead in life. So they go end up with a degree in anything that does nothing and now have tens of thousands of dollars of debt with usury to deal with. The people who joke about the social science degree's its not just that. I have known people with high degree's in serious fields and can't get a job in them. Even older people who worked for big companies with such degree's have lost these jobs and are forced down in pay grade.

Something the practices will do is change a person's psychological state so they are not into the false ideal of believing their stuff is their identity along with their value to the market place at that time which is the entire trap of society. People go into debt chasing that drug.

Those are good points. I should probably just focus on practical advancement right now than worry about drastic lifestyle changes. And it does seem now that a lot of people focus on asceticism because they don't know anything else.

I just get frustrated because I wish I could advance much faster, and sometimes it seems I need something drastic to induce this. But from past experience at a certain level I do know that consistent work can produce great results. I am sometimes too sensitive to external ideas and need to be more careful when viewing non-JOS information, being extra sensitive to energy is both a help and a pain at times.

Possibly after doing your duty(making a lot of kids and making sure they have a lot of kids) and achieving a lot of success and money, you could afford a secluded place powered with solar energy or some shit and retreat with your wife who'll aid you in the spiritual journey. That's how it went in the vedic age. Although there was also a part where in Early childhood you'd go to stay with a teachers house and he'd teach you and assign you a functional place in society though it doesn't look like that part can be replicated in this day and age,as its impossible to find a legitimate Guru to take you in. The better guides and the best guides are the Daemon mahasiddhas. You should seel solace in guidance from the gods.

A lot of good food for thought there. I guess what I'm looking for is not an ascetic life but an effective one, a life where I'm minimizing wasted time and energy and doing the best I can to get my goals. Right now I am developing a career, it's a type of work I could do on my own with enough experience. I definitely don't think one should view having less to be a goal in itself, I want to be wealthy and powerful. But I've been thinking about this for a while and I do think it'd be awesome to have enough money to just advance all day. Perhaps that isn't what I'm meant to do, perhaps I have some duty with regard to public life that will come along. Right now I'm focusing on advancing, minimizing wasted time and cutting out unnecessary things, and earning money and developing career skills, and good work experience and reputation. Regardless of my future, such endeavors are good ideas for now.
