Are there any alternatives to performing the ritual? Like pressing a finger on a paper to create a fingerprint of blood from other parts of the body, instead of signing your name in blood from a pricked finger. For example a site named Tikaboo have a similar form of Ritual but advises the dedicator to make a fingerprint of blood at the bottom of a paper instead. Is this form of Dedication also valid? Thank you.

The Tikaboo Dedication ritual is the one i did, i preferred it over the JoS one. Except for some details they are practically identical, i find the Tikaboo one more "elegant".
Hail Satan
Hail the Gods
Hail the Daemons of Elysium

Your astral temple is on the astral plain; not the physical world.

It's better to prick your finger instead of say, popping a zit and using the blood from that, because with popping the zit, you are pushing bacteria further down into the skin and spreading it.
With pricking your finger you have control and can use a diabetic lancet or a sterilized sewing needle. You only need a drop or two, it's not hard to get.
As long as you get blood on the paper, that's what you're aiming for.
