Both the north and south nodes have to do with fate. The south node is more serious and has saturn overtones. If the natal south node is conjunct the ascendant or chart ruler in a solar return, then watch out. The influences can be unpredictable, depending on what the past life ties are. The year will definitely be fated.

The midheaven is one of the 4 angles and the defines the 10th house. Physically it is directly above you, and the ascendant is the eastern horizon and descendant the western horizon.

Often the Solar Returns prepare the ground for what's to come. The events may begin while they're active, but the repercussions (issues or rewards) come only afterwards. They're a cyclical and each one builds upon the last.

Judging by these placements only, seems like you will be fine and safe with both benefics conjunct the South Node.
