I don't know why this is happening. I thought it was the fluoride so I took magnesium and could meditate better right away. But then it had side effects on me like dry mouth and I had to stop. I went to get some blood tests and my vitamin D is 11 ng/ml. It's been low for years. Do any of you have this problem? Could this be it?

Provide some details on what exactly the issue is, there's no way for anyone to even guess what's wrong if you just say "not able to meditate" and you have low vitamin D. You can't visualize? You can't calm you mind? What is it?

The body needs to be exposed at direct sunlight for a few minutes each day - as possible - to produce enough Vitamin D.
I do not know if this can be linked to meditation problems.
As said we need more details.
I experienced internal struggle with my programmed side of the mind, preventing meditation, for years. Maybe is this the case?

Many times when I go back home and want to start meditating again in earnest, I get stuck or feel spiritually rusty when I try to resume at the same intensity. That's why over the years I have taken up the nato concept of breaking the line of tracers in the following way:
If you can't do one yoga session of 111 reps, do 5 of 10 reps and every day increase the size
If you can't vibrate a mantra 216 times because it seems like a lot, vibrate in multiple rounds 27 times.

Are you having trouble relaxing in meditation? If so, I have a few suggestions.
It's good that you focus your mind 100% on the present and that your consciousness is as open as possible.
It's not satisfying or relaxing, but it's still important for creating awareness.
