i have one quick question, that i am not quite sure about.
if a ritual ask me to use parchment paper, can i use a vellum paper instead, cause according to what i know vellum is a kind of parchment, i just need to be sure.

I wouldn't use vellum paper. It's plasticized cotton and when it is burnt it will emit toxic fumes - something you do not want.

Parchment Paper is paper made to look like parchment - leather.

Real Vellum - untanned transluncent animal skin is not widely available today.

Just use any good cotton fiber paper and do a test burn of some of it to see how it works.

You don't need to use parchment of any kind. Any normal paper you have is fine.

If you've got real leather skin (vellum) it's rare today as it's ral animal skin; probably calf skin. It's worth quite a bit of money as archivist and conserators use it to repair antique books and manuscripts. You probably could sell it and buy some of the finest watermarked cotton paper made.
