As written on the SS Calendar,

“Hitler and Himmler began the tradition of making November the month to remember and honor our ancestors, loved ones and friends who have died. Life is sacred for us SS, and the lives of our ancestors are to be honored. Visiting graves, lighting candles, drinking a toast, and displaying any pictures of our friends and family who have died, are sacred and important rites during this month. Beloved pets can also be remembered.”

Remembering our ancestors and loved ones who have died helps to strengthen our bonds to our people, and reminds us that we are part of a whole. And this is what our people used to do, and why Hitler and Himmler re-started the tradition: because it helps us cope with the death of our loved ones.

Very often when a relative dies, we are then hit by how much that person meant to us. This happened to me recently after an elderly relative died. I knew he would die soon, he was past his life expectancy and had lived a long and full life, and had many health problems near the end. But it wasn’t until after he died that I realized how much he meant to me, and also how much he loved me. I definitely felt some remorse for not spending more time with him when I was able to. So, I sent him some positive energy, focused on my love for him, and told him I loved him.

Any day this November (and all Novembers) you can take some time to do a remembrance for your departed loved ones. Focus on one at a time, November has 30 days so there is no rush:

Light a candle if you’re at home, or visit their grave if this is an option, or go out into nature and find somewhere quiet to sit and think. Have pictures on display, if you have any. Go over your memories with that person, remember the good times and any personality trait or quality of that person that you liked or admired.

If you have bad memories such as fights or feuds or anything you regret, acknowledge those memories; this will help give you closure. And thinking over how those fights or feuds could have been resolved or handled better will increase your life experience with handling similar situations in the future.

You can then send positive energy to their soul. This is easy, just think of your appreciation and love for them, feel it build up, and Will the energy to them. You can ask your GD to help you.

You can “talk” to that person, which of course is for your own benefit, to sort things out in your mind and get closure. Say anything you feel needs to be said. Please not that only skilled and experienced people can have an actual conversation with the departed, and only if the soul has not incarnated yet. This is not like a séance, it’s remembering and honoring their memory and the life they lived.

If you never had a relationship with your grandparents for whatever reason, then you can do this remembrance for your ancestors further back. Maybe find out their names, where they were from, what they did; find out any stories about them, and so on. I recently found out about a great-grandmother who was alive when I was a child but I never knew her as she lived far away and died when I was still young. A relative recently told me some things about her personality, which made her feel more real to me.

A lot of members have written about problems with their parents, some even feeling like their parents didn’t want them or love them. If this is how you feel, know that no matter what, your ancestors certainly wanted you! Our ancestors fought through much of their life to ensure their survival and the survival of their children and descendants. If they met you right now, their hearts would be filled with love for you, and happiness that their bloodline lived on. :)

Hail Satan!

Hail Satan!
This is a lovely post, thank you, HPS.
I also felt confusion and doubt and many other things with my parents. I didn't understand their expressions of love & care until after they were gone, nor did I understand how much they really meant to me. I think that you can't fully experience appreciation or gratitude until you've experienced loss. It's one of the bittersweet tragedies of life.

I dont have any member of my family or person who has died that i actually loved or cared about, but there was this lovely dog, she was the best, ill take this November to make memories about her and burn incense in her name.

Thank you HP Lydia!

Hail satan!

You truly have a knack for making people feel more positive about things, life, themselves, everything.
Thank you for this post, High Priestess Lydia. :)

HAIL SATAN!

Then November is the perfect month for that since in 5-6 days the Sun will be 15 degrees in Scorpio. I remember there was a posting a while back about how we all came to understand that is the true Samhain/Halloween.

Like when we celebrate Imbolc 15 degrees Aquarius. So I guess the midpoint between the major sabbats are the true power points dates for magick and such. It’s pretty cool.

Sun 15 degrees Aquarius: Imbolc

Sun 15 degrees Taurus: Beltane

Sun 15 degrees Leo: Lammas

Sun 15 degrees Scorpio: Samhain

I’ll definitely celebrate Samhain again in some days. It’s rewarding to celebrate Samhain season this way instead of one one day. Halloween has always been a favorite aside from Imbolc.

Insightful post!

If we are here, we owe it to our ancestors. Think of how easy we have it now, compared to their times.

Only two generations ago, my grandafather's father died, he was still a kid, and as a kid he is the one that started caring for his family, doing a job that most adults right now would find extremely tiring and unsustainable. I am grateful to him.

Thanks you for a wonderful post. It worries me every times i try to have feelings for a departed one, I connected with them and ending up having to clean my aura again, the same happens to real people, i pick up their dross

I need to get the finger out bro as only got a we girl.

Respect for you and ancestors you a good pal on here.

Wonderful post :)

Thank you for the reminder. Indeed, when I just dedicated, I had just lost my youngest uncle from my mother's side and my grandma's oldest brother from my father's side who passed away almost at the same time. The former was like another brother to me and my siblings and the latter replaced the role of a grandpa to me as both my grandfathers passed away when I was 8. These people were so important to me that the grief I felt over their deaths at the time made me even more motivated to keep struggling as a SS. I was just reminiscing the both of them today.

Bit odd why natally 15 degrees of those signs would be the worst - despite they being major holidays?

Is there more to this?

the message you are conveying through this post is very lovely and something that i do approve of ^

but... one part that striked me in particular is the one highlighted, that i'm quoting,... it makes me think about "prevention", we should be loving our parents and grandparents more even before the inevitable demise happens in the first place if possible, and yes indeed, it definitely feels like i should be working on this, aside from the original objective of the post in general, which is indeed, honouring the ones that have already departed ^

This was a very beautiful and soothing sermon, thank you HPS Lydia!

Today I lost a dear patient due to old age. She was very clear and sharp cognitive-wise. She was a very fun and interesting woman, and reminded me greatly of my grandmother. She had just finished her morning bath and wanted to rest for just a little bit in her bed afterwards before her breakfast, then all of a sudden, she "slept in". My colleagues and I put flowers in her hands and lit a candle for her and her family to show appreciation and respect. It was a humble experience, and it really puts much in perspective of how precious life really is.

I talked to her after her passing, she seemed very relieved and she was not sad about passing at all, because she have had such a good life. I thanked her for making my work days fun and loving and told her she would be fine. She was a bit confused though of how I could communicate with her. I really hope she will have a good next life.

I once did read from a member, if one off his relative would die, he would feel joy for them, so they could happily go into the next live, without holding them back with something like grieving.

A very profound and deep post HPS!
May you all have a happy November ❄️

Thanks for this reminder HPS Lydia !

I hope I don't insult anyone here, but I don't think it is appropriate to decorate for Yule until at least after the 11th.

Thank you HPs. Quite recently, my grandfather passed away from this world; he was seriously ill in the last years of his life, and I believe that his departure was something like liberation from the suffering of old age. About a week after his death, I saw him in a trance, in the form of a young and strong man. This calmed me down. We are the sum of all our ancestors living before us.

Thanks for the comments everyone :)

Yes, pets as well, they are so wonderful for love and companionship :)

I'm glad I can do that, thank you :)

Same with my grandmother's father, he had adult chores as a child, chopping wood etc. These days we don't even let children hold an axe, nevermind chop unsupervised like our recent ancestors!

Try affirming, before you connect, that you are not picking up their dross. I had to do this years ago and I don't anymore.

That is sad, you did the wise thing by channeling your grief into working as an SS.

Thanks NinRick :)

That is true, and why I was honest about my feelings, to inspire others to prevent, as you wrote, and spend more time while they still have their loved ones.

Many do seem to be confused about how we can communicate with them. Oddly, my relative was not confused at all, but looking at his chart, I think he had some psychic ability himself. What you did for your patient was lovely btw :)

November 11? I don't until December 1. Some places (businesses, residences, etc) will start on November 1 which I feel is too early and makes it drag on a bit. I like having a good solid month of decorations. Any longer makes it seem stale by the time its actually Yule.

Yeah, but I guess every number has its place. As far as I know, 15 degrees is the midway point between each Sabbat, about 6 weeks in, on both sides. Imbolc is in between Winter solstice and Spring Equinox, and so forth. The Sun stays in one constellation sign for about 30 days— one degree each day. Years ago, when I read HPS Maxine staying that Imbolc should be technically celebrated when the sun is in 15 degrees aquarius, I did further research.

But generally, I think it probably doesn’t matter too much now since significant energy has been put in establishing Samhain as being on October 31st and Beltane on April 30th over a long period of time, and traditionally speaking as well.

But adapting celebrations around the 15 degree point for each fixed sign is meaningful as there is a special alignment astrologically. It makes sense since Spring Equinox, Summer Solstice, Fall Equinox and Winter Solstice is celebrated when the cardinal signs are powerful points and celebrated at 0 degrees.

You didn't really answer the question, sister. And I think it's a very interesting one.
Why would 15 degrees of fixed signs, which are the holidays, be bad natally? Does anyone know?

I myself, am a huge lover of Yule, let alone every Pagan festival you can think of out there (at least in their purest forms without the blood sacrifice or Jewish bullshit) of various Gentile cultures. But quite frankly even through my love of Yule, I can't stand it when stores start getting all the Christmas/Yule stuff out RIGHT ON THE November 1st, and then throw in the commercialization bullshit.

Then again, it's to each their own, if people wanna start decorating November 1, then do as you wish.

I am late in my response, because my internet was going bonkers at the time this post was made. But long even before coming to Satan, I noticed the spiritual significance at the end of October, beginning of November upon realizing that the Mexican "Day of the Dead" celebration literally succeeds the Halloween of October 31, not sure if October 31 is the correct date.

I just figured at that time that Halloween/Day of the Dead "had" to have had a common origin before the Catholics hijacked it for "All Saints Day".

The Mexicans literally have a two-day celebration describing what you described, namely in visiting ancestors' graves, blessing their Souls and etc., the 1st day dedicated towards departer children, second day for adults as I recall. The Filipinos just gather them all in one feast on the night of the 31st and into the 1st of November. Not sure why the Chinese celebrate their's in the spring.

That being said, I'm not into all the "horror stuff", or pounding candy in my body. I just had my familiars make some traditional desserts from my home country of origin and make an altar towards the departed. Halloween celebration in its purest form and originality.

I truly wish they'd call off school for Samhain/Halloween (lol...who wants to worry about school/work when eating sweets the day before lol). When one comes to notice, every season has a "major feast".....Samhain (fall/autumn), Yuletide (winter), Ishtar/Easter (spring) and Beltane/Whitsun (summer - stolen by the Christians as "Pentecost").

I took it as a perfect opportunity to make a post in the Oriental forums about "Yan-Lou-Wang", the Chinese God of the Underworld who handles departed Souls, known in Satanic tradition as Andras. Sadly, when I encountered a Chinese family in trick-or-treating, I asked if they knew who Yan-Lou-Wang was, and they didn't know. Grrrrr.........but I was warned, by a long-time SS from China (STanBlank) of how unaware and cut-off the Chinese were from their Pagan glorious past, in spite of the fact that the Chinese are literally the mainstream "forefronters" of "honoring/venerating ancestors" and doing dragon dances.

Once I get my art supplies together, next year on Samhain I'm definitely going to make artwork for Andras, Chinese-style (Yan-Lou-Wang) and integrate that into my celebration.

I must also note, the Native Americans too (whom I consider brethren due to their Oriental origins), are very active in their festivities during this time of the year.

Happy Belated Samhain

thank you hps lydia for this post this is what i needed and need
you replied in my thread when my mum passed away and i needed to know how i could send helpful positive energy to her hopefully healing energy
i was concerned if sending good energy to a disembodied soul would be dangerous
plus i need to do a lot of void meditation so i dont send bad energy to her by accident because of an uncontrolled mind

i know of really bad things causing depression and other things in my mums physical life which would repeat in her next life and i want to minimise those if i can help in any way
even if i dont know her after we both reincarnate
and even if not i still really hope she has enough power to reincarnate and have chances in satanic world to heal and be saved from karma and endless reincarnating and soul death
even if i wont know her again in next lives i still hope she reincarnates and has a powerful healthy soul
then maybe i will meet her again

i know my mums favourite song so while the song is like a goodbye or parting song i want to play that during the ritual
and i know an aroma she enjoyed so id find a candle with that or potpourri with it and a neutral scentless candle
she rarely drank alcohol but i know she liked one drink so id buy some of that and toast with a glass of it in her name

i never say this to anyone lydia even when i was a christian before
but bless you for this post lydia
this is the answer ive been needing
so thank you and bless you for this hps lydia

15 degrees of those signs are very powerful. And most humans do not have the basic power to handle the energy, so it can go wrong somehow. I believe as humanity advances, and humans are born with better karma and cleaner and more advanced souls, then it won't affect them the same way.

Thank you for a great post! I was afraid I would able to participate in this particular season. I don't have any deceased loved ones, but I would like to explore my family tree.

The only part of my family history that I'm aware of is my dad's side. My great grandmother moved here form Hungary and that's about all I know.

I've looked up traditions and holidays, but most of it is just Xian garbage. If there any other fellow SS with Hungarian heritage, I'd be happy to hear from you. Maybe clear up some misconceptions. Thank you.

Remembering our ancestors and loved ones who have died helps to strengthen our bonds to our people, and reminds us that we are part of a whole. And this is what our people used to do, and why Hitler and Himmler re-started the tradition: because it helps us cope with the death of our loved ones.

Hey Lydia , great speech! I wanted to ask you , how long does it usually take for a soul to reincarnate ? can it be in 1 year or less or maybe more ?
Thank you

Yes, that is exactly what the Gods told me as well. It's analogous to how the fixed stars and the outer transcendental planets work. There are certain things that most humans cannot wield. Eclipses, both natal and in motion, can also have this effect.

The 15 degrees of fixed signs (particularly Leo and Aquarius) are usually very bad, but sometimes they can denote a human with a gigantic amount of power rather than being ruled by power, or someone who ends up at the mercy of both circumstances.

Also, each of the planets with the 15 degrees of fixed signs and Angles all have distinct meanings a lot of the time.
