I think this has to do with the part of the day they prefer to visit us when they choose to (not when they are summoned). The day or night part doesn't affect the summoning at all, you can summon Day Gods at night as well.

Oh, okay. Thanks! I wasn't sure if the Daemon you wanted to contact
was a Night Daemon, that meant you shouldn't summon him/her in the
daytime. This clears up the confusion. Lol.
