I once saw a warning on a website that meditation can worsen mental disorders because it increases electrical activity in the brain. Is this true?

It is said about 3rd eye, those who suffer from headaches should be careful while opening the 3rd eye. I myself don't suffer from it, but while doing the meditation for the first time I had a quite strong ache in my head, not directly on the 3rd eye, but somewhere around the temples and forehead.
