How to Set up an Altar?

Hi there, Im from Mexico sorry if my english is bad.
I have a Small Room and My father is agnostic but my mom is hardcore cristian so if they discover i might have a trouble...
well right now im getting what i can i have some blue and white candles,a bell, Two cups but they arent made from steel i it okay? also..(dont know english word) The thing where you burn the things but is also made of crystal is it okay? right know i can get a little Table to my room but i dont know if other people use it .< .... and also can a use katana as an athame? i have it as decoration in my room,So if i use it my Family wont notice a missing knife. Could You Please Answer Me and tell me what i must get, i Have many Doubts...   Thanks

You dont NEED an altar, its best if you keep safe. I have heard of parents doing crazy shit when they found out about their son/daughter being Satanist. Hide your items best you can and preferably not all in one place, scatter them. Keep this all a secret!
