Cleaning is very energy intensive, so the point of diminishing returns is where you get exhausted and don't feel like you can clean anymore.

There is no limit, but you can only clean so much in a day. You'll feel it, if you are working on a chakra, it might feel clean at the end of your meditation, but tomorrow you'll feel a lot of stuff in there still. You can't do it all in a day, cleaning especially takes time.
