East Jesus Nowhere - Green Day

regularromeo_911 min to read

One night i was driving home from work and i heard this song on the radio, a specific part of it reminded me of the JOS and when i got home i looked up and read the lyrics a few times. I started wondering if it was mocking christianity or supporting it and i would like a few other peoples opinions on it. the part that reminded me of the JOS is "A fire burns today, of blasphamy and genocide, the sirens of decay, will infiltrate the faith fanatics" the full songs lyrics can be found here http://www.metrolyrics.com/east-jesus-n ... n-day.html

please lemme know your opinions.

I don't know what the meaning of this song is, personally I have never really liked Greenday, they always seemed just punk enough to sell out for a buck, so this song may be just another attempt to do so.  Then again, it's not blasphemous to Father so if you enjoy it, go for it!   Hail Satan,
Matt

I thought Green Day was better when they sang about being bored and jacking off, but maybe that's just me.
