curiosity about the Necronomicon, and H.P. Lovecraft

i understand that, as stated in the Joy of satan website, that the Necronomicon alludes to Aura meditation, and rousing the kundalini (sp?) as seen in the rites, of opening the gates. however, ive not seen mention on what some would call, the "darker" aspects of the text. warnings ageinst "the old ones" or "the ancient ones" are not spoken of within the Joy of satan texts, yet is, within the form of the necronomicon linked too on the website.

what says the Joy of Satan ministries about this? the necronomicon has always interested me, and i'd love to know.

also, what of Lovecrafts relation to the true necronomicon, within his stories? just coincidence? or is it, something more?
