To do a curse on someone, do I need their full name or just their last?

Knowing names in itself is like a ritual tool.
All you need is to know them, because it provides a focus to direct your curse. That is the true purpose of having names and pictures, it just helps you focus on the target.
If you are more psychically open or aware, then you don't really need names, much less pictures or any other well known physical thing to be able to focus on them, because you are psychically aware, you already see them, and thus.. you know them to some extent.

The Hexagradior tells us that you don't even need a name for a curse to work. You only feel the "ether" of the person by thinking about him for a moment, name him whatever you want and direct the curse at his "ether". I haven't done that in black magick, but i did do for healing someone that i didn't know their name and didn't even had a picture and yes it DID work.
