Black Candles

[satinismygod12]

I havent been able to get black candles,how do I get them?,and if i cant find them will spraypaint work, I also dont have blue or red.

Well, if you want a black candle, you can make one, at least I think it would be considered a black candle. what I do is take a candle, put the flame under a flat, glass object, like a cup, let soot accumulate on it, then melt white candle wax on the soot. It takes a while, but eventually you'll have black wax, dyed from the soot. to make a candle's wick you braid together tissue paper and dip it in wax. You just need something to melt down the wax in and something to use as a mold. I use an extra liquid incense burner to melt the wax in and an old tea light candle holder for the mold. Does it still count if the candles are simply covered in soot, making them appear black? Or do they have to be black inside and out?

Sorry, haven't been on here a while, but what I meant was to mix the soot with some white wax. Sorry, I wasn't very clear on that. I'd use white wax, because you don't have to worry about it actually being a darker color of the wax you used. I think they need to be black inside and out, but I'm not sure.

Yea i just looked at everyone's comment to your question, but is it possible to make a black candle out of colored candles like you do with paint and stuff? Like you take colors that will make black (which is your normal everyday colors) and melts them down so you have black candles?? Just wandering is all cause this just popped in my head while reading maxine's comment.
