I have taken a scholarly look on the site, and so far I approve. I no longer see the RHP as being superior to the LHP; in fact, I now see it the other way around. However, before I get started on JoS Satanism, I wanted to get in touch with Satanic energies first to see if it is something I want to connect with for the rest of my life. What should I do to get acquainted with Satan before I perform my dedication ritual? Should I first attempt to summon the demon Beleth that corresponds to my birthday? Should I indulge in power meditation first? Is there a recommended ritual?

You should start with power meditations. Actually this is the most important part of Spiritual Satanism and one you can't live without, others are optional.

Keep in mind that some of what you said is disrespectful if you do it:
"Should I first attempt to summon the demon Beleth that corresponds to my birthday?"
No, you don't summon Gods for no reason and just because thye correspond to your birthday. Your birthday has nothing to do with anything. You should have a serious reason, not just because you want to try it or to have someone to talk to, remember the Gods are very busy and it's disrespectful to bother them for a stupid reason. Actually you shouldn't even consider summoning a God before you're dedicated and before meditating for a while.
