Ancient Egyptian statue

This article made me chuckle a bit. I read the comments and also agree that there must be a scientific explanation for this.

What really makes me curious though, is what happened to the excavators who found the statues, who was the head of the investigation/excavation, and the middlemen/ people involved in handling and selling these items to the museum. If they are still alive and/ or well, or if they have fallen ill for disturbing tombs and mummies.

I wonder if the statue moved in a perfect circular rotation. Maybe the curators or people investigating this phenomenon could let the dust settle on the glass (shelf) on which the statues are resting on, and over a month or more see if it is a perfect circle or if the statue bobbed around a bit. That is, if there was a sliding door behind the statues. Maybe not possible if they were housed in a glass box on which no dust could enter or settle.

This looks like a legit and informative newspaper, I will be visiting here more often.

Thanks for the post.
