Am I doing this right???

So a few days ago, I tried a summoning. The only response that I got was the candle flame moving around. A lot. It would almost go out, then it would flare up really high a second later. It also kept on leaning towards the East. What does this mean? Did I do something wrong, or is this just because I have not been a follower of Enki long enough? There have also been many things happening out of the ordinary (cars starting as I walk by, when no one is inside: Getting A's on tests that I should have failed: hearing noises when I am alone, such as movement through the house and some other sounds that I cannot quite describe: ect.)
Is this the demon trying to communicate with me? Or am I just paranoid...please, I want to know if I made an error or something, so that I can fix it. I do not want to try again, for fear or angering or disrespecting the demon. Thanks for you time.
