1) The chakra is a single system of energy composed of several components. Each chakra is like an organ that works with whole to maintain and support life in a sense. Often times chakra are correlated with emotions because the chakra is an extension of our self, and as such represent certain aspects of our consciousness at specific levels of energy.
2) When I raised my kundalini I experienced innate shivers starting at the base of my spine, this could be a similar experience maybe.
3) In my experience black energy is used in combat magick and can cause harm to chakra.
4) Personally I have not tried this method and therefore cannot speak on behalf of it as an authority.
