I've done some more tests, and found a new (possibly better) way of colouring the chakras. It uses a black and white version (shown below), and applies colour over the top. It is also recorded using an orthographic camera, meaning there is no perspective, it is a perfect side-on angle.

The colour can be applied using a few different methods, these are demonstrated below. To stop this page being so impossibly slow to load, the tests are at 10 frames per second, the final gifs will rotate a lot smoother.

Here is another style of heart chakra (using soft light blend mode)

This colouring method helps cut out a lot of the saturation problems from before, so now the chakras saturation and values are very consistent with each other.

The choice is which blend mode to use, and what heart chakra design to use.

6th Chakra
Throat Chakra
Heart Chakra
Solar Chakra
Sacral Chakra
Base Chakra

I settled with a mix between soft light blend mode, and colour burn. This gives the chakra itself a bit more colour, rather than being pure white, which I thought was a bit harsh on the eyes.

A suggestion for the chakra spin animation you've made, a major improvement would be if the chakra has a very dim and faded out glow at the start of the animation, and becomes more vibrant as it spins.

I made this a while ago as an experiment in programming a fire simulator. It is 480p resolution, so not "HD", but fire is typically a little blurry, so it doesn't benefit much from HD.

I made this a while ago as an experiment in programming a fire simulator. It is 480p resolution, so not "HD", but fire is typically a little blurry, so it doesn't benefit much from HD.

Sorry for the necropost. I wanted to thank you and Darkaan for creating these! I'm lucky I found it. The discussions helped me realize that the heart chakra isn't two overlapping pyramids but rather a diamond. The original picture in the ToZ gave me this impression.

It's beyond amazing how diverse and talented our members are.

I just wanted to ask about the throat chakra depicted. I don't know if it's my eyes but it looks like a turqoise colour to me rather than the light-blue colour on the ToZ site.

Besides that I'm surprised these aren't made more available to the community. I think a link (eg. more depictions can be found here) should be added to the updated ToZ meditations page.

Yeah, that is exactly what I thought of, they really should be included on our main page, because when I first came to ToZ I really struggled with imagining the chakras, and not only the color but also the shape and the movement they are supposed to make when you are spinning them. Descriptions of vortexes with points facing up or down aid little to your imagination.

Also, on the side note, I believe that the crown chakra color is a little bit off too, not only the throat chakra.
