Sun Square

When you make planetary squares, you influence the aspect in which it is present. Using the Sun Square, in this case, could certainly strengthen it, but I think it's more appropriate for the spiritual side (which is why I prefer you get some news coverage).

It's excellent, however, on the material side.

1. Yes but not by much, any sort of occult work has some level of empowering effect even if is only negligible as at the very least it stops atrophy.
2. Not sure.
3. You can do both as spiritual and material squares can be done concurrently, the spiritual square will be much more effective for strengthening your natal sun however.

It depends on what is your goal, that is, whether it is a material or spiritual one.
For general strengthening, I would go for a spiritual one.
Nevertheless, finish this square without doubts, as it will empower it anyway (of course, depending where are directing its energies) .

If you have a debilitated Sun in your Natal Chart, I would suggest doing a Spiritual Sun Square. If you have a more potent Sun, chances are material goals that are Sun-related also will also be easier. Like, if you have a powerful Solar Plexus (your Sun) you are most likely to be more successful and wealthier because you have the Will and Strength to pursue your goals. The Material situation is a consequence of the Spiritual situation. Spiritual development and self improvement is the basis for a good Material Life.
