I'm new here on the forum and to spiritual practice following the Zevism path. While reading through the information on the website, I've noticed that ToZ doesn't deny — and actually points out — many masters and ascended individuals who achieved various spiritual accomplishments and results through their practices.

My question is: Do we really need to dedicate our soul to Zeus and the Daemons to see results and spiritual progress with the practices on the sites (including the more "basic" ones), or is it just a formality? I've seen that many of the masters whose works seem to serve as a basis for various texts here apparently did not perform such a formal dedication (or maybe I'm confusing things?).

It is not just a formality.

You can see results without dedicating.

Dedication ritual is not just for the vibes. Comparisons are lacking, but it is like you can't be married without saying ''Yes'' to ''Do you take her as your wife?'' and you can't be a PhD without defending your dissertation. You stay as you are before taking that step. If you take the step, you become something else. Spiritually, it has importance. If nothing else, do you think a God would be looking after their dedicated initiate or a random person who mimics the teachings, peeking from outside?

A random person who does yoga and meditates will see results. The benefits of yoga are proven. If you do meditate, you will get results. Progress, however, I'm not sure.

Spiritual and occult orders in history have had their own rites. If it is not spiritual and not a part of a tradition or group, only then maybe.

Dedication is done when you are ready. Don't do it half-heartedly, and the situation is not like ''You will burn in hell if you don't!'' Anyone can do the meditations that are open to the public. Dedication is important and must be done seriously.

Dedication is the first entry Sacrament, from this starts the Path of Zevism.

Dedicating your soul to Zeus is something much deeper than that. It is a confirmation, a sense of belonging, a sign of dedication to a path of growth under the guidance of the Gods. It is allowing the divine good to connect with you and help you. It is allowing the light to illuminate you and eliminate any type of external conditioning. It allows the Gods to protect and guide you.

Spiritual advancement, the advancement of your soul, does not depend on dedication. It will depend only on you, on your perseverance and discipline. As I said, when you dedicate yourself, you allow the Gods to guide you on your path and remain steadfast in the Truth.

I understand your question.
As sentient beings our own self importantance is influenced a great deal by our how our consciousness- ego see's us, both as an individual, and in the general scheme of things.

Yes, you can go it alone on your own spiritual path, doing your own meditation, and if done properly you would advance, albeit at a restricted rate. But the whole meaning of spiritual advancement is to attain a higher level of existence. This is achieved in a more rapid enlightened manner when in personal contact/communication with your guardian daemon and the Gods in general. Don't forget; all spiritual knowledge we now have was first attained by the Gods and then handed down to us. Think of it as being at school or learning a martial art. Why do you show respect and humility in front of the teacher or master? Because he/she has wisdom and knowledge beyond yours, and you are there to learn, and physically/ spiritually grow.

It has been said often here that the Gods are far above us in wisdom and understanding. It wasn't always that way. There was a time when They had to start at the beginning and travel the path of knowledge and enlightenment. They are now the teachers, passing on Their knowledge to us, Their students.

The dedication has to be one of the most misunderstood practices on ToZ. It's THE most misunderstood. New members either think this is either synonymous to selling your soul for money and fame, a useless formality, something to get results or something that you do to have Zeus contact you. It's neither of them. It's your personal initiation oath. It is not related to any results. Like the site states, its main benefit is protection and guidance. It is important though. Not being related to results doesn't make it less important.

The dedication ritual is mandatory. Think about what it means to dedicate. It's to say an oath. It's to say in reality that you are here on this path. And most importantly it's an oath you make to Zeus. To the Assembly of Gods. And spiritually it's a qualitive change in your soul. It's the first step to those who take this path seriously because it means you are saying you take the Gods seriously. Dedicate.

We dedicate ourselves not only for formality or celebration, but to walk the path of the Gods alongside them, relying on their guidance and protection. Without dedication, you would only be walking your own path, without the hand of our Gods. Dedication is the first step on this magnificent path.

Yes, it is. The Dedication is a powerful rite. It removes past, obsolete and foul connections from the human soul.

Because in the spiritual level, what this does is disconnect you in the soul level from a lot of negative forces and in the "passage of rites" mental level deprograms you, one says a large No toward the forces that cloud your soul and judgement.

This is an objective action that changes the course of your soul; from the direction of evil to the good direction.

This is metaphysically changing certain attunations in your soul, which render you immune to the works of what is against the Gods.
