They are nice to look at but animals tend to be scared by them. My dog once broke the door net to get in the house because it was very scared of them.

As far as I am concerned, the real New Year is only one, 2024 is just a conventionally used date, and has no real meaning other than to orientate in time in the absence of a fairer calendar.

As for the fireworks .. My dad says it should be regulated by a corps that organizes it ..
To be honest, seeing the sky filled with fireworks is really nice. But the frequent blasts, over the period leading up to it, and the smoke etc isnt the best. People with astma tend to struggle with the smoke, too.

I envision there will be fireworks made in the hopefully near future that are eco-friendly.

It's because of that. Pollution and animals getting frightened. Not to mention the bothering noise that cannot be fully shut out by windows.

I hope they will make something eco-friendly too and sound-free, so no animals die and I can meditate in peace if I don't want to watch them. Maybe they'll learn to make even more interesting shapes!

I personally feel a change, perhaps its psychosomatic, but I am more active now than previously. Maybe its something to do with Mercury almost out of Retrograde(?) but I am moving forward, setting goals & achieving. I have been writing, pushing, setting & re-setting intentions to aid in maintaining focus.
It's a great feeling, I hope my siblings in Satan are having similar positive experiences.
I think of the Rune of Dagaz, breaking through to new things this new calandar year. May we all make mini-milestones & prove to the Gods & ourselves what we are capable of, as individuals & as a group.
