Dedicating yourself is always an act of courage and awakening.

Dedication is a realization: deciding that the time has come to pull your head out of the dark hole it has been in until now, so that you can finally enjoy the light of the sun. That warm, bright sun that makes every shade of color possible to see, that makes the water clearer, that makes life possible.

When you think about it, this is exactly the comparison: the life imposed upon us from childhood is a life in darkness. Our abilities, resources, methods, and tools are hidden from us so that we can remain ignorant and asleep. So that we can be obedient and serve others... because what else could we be? After all, that is what life is.

I have always imagined everyone as one great army of slaves: there is the one who does their job, no more and no less; there is the excellent servant who does even more in order to win the master's favor, calling that sacrifice a sense of justice or a sense of duty; and then there is the intelligent slave.

The intelligent slave is the one who asks questions: Why do I have to do this? Why does everyone do it? Is it possible that there is something else?

That is the soul who will find a way to escape, to fulfill themselves, and eventually become the master of their former master.

The cave represents the comfort zone, where you know how things work, you know who is in charge, and you know who your equal is. They teach you false hope, that unconscious force that justifies the life you are living as being the right one because otherwise you would have no alternatives, otherwise you would go insane and perhaps even end your own life. You are taught that you must rely on someone else in order to obtain something, that you must arouse pity and compassion in a divine being who has the power to determine who you are. You are not the master of yourself.

But there will always be someone who pushes you to leave the cave because, deep down, they see a light that attracts them, something they do not know but somehow know to be right. It is important that you follow them!

That person, in today's world, is someone who has had the courage to ask questions and search for answers. Everyone asks themselves questions at some point in life: death, whether there is something divine, what life is, why things work the way they do and not another way. But the answer that would come is one they are unwilling to hear. That answer would force them to question years of living with the belief that the truth was what they had been told.

They are souls so submissive that they would accept being represented by someone who is completely corrupt, justifying it by saying, "They are human beings too, and they are not God. You must do what they preach, not follow what they do." But we know that example is the fuel that feeds the inner fire more than anything else.

In order to be accepted, you have to be a certain way, dress a certain way, wear your hair or makeup a certain way. Celebrities dictate the trends and the masses follow them, saying that these are examples of self-love. But do we really know what self-love is? Is it feeling strong? Is it feeling beautiful? Is it feeling capable? Is it believing that you are all of these things?

The gap between believing and actually being these things is immense, and there is only one way to truly become them: knowing yourself.

I myself have always been very, far too self-critical, constantly comparing myself to others. The result was always the same: I was never enough. Even though I had always been different, "special" compared to other children, I was taught that this uniqueness was something negative: I had to conform. If you are not like them, you are excluded, mocked, marginalized. Your mind builds structures based on those judgments, making you believe that you are the problem.

But for a soul like mine, conformity is impossible. It is impossible to become a sheep among sheep; rather, I am the wolf disguised as a sheep. I will never be able to become like everyone else: without personality, without originality, with speeches and thoughts introduced into my mind by television, social media, and reality shows. I am more than this.

Breaking out of this vicious cycle is difficult. Confronting your own pain, limitations, and traumas is frightening, but it is necessary. Getting to know yourself, rebuilding yourself, valuing yourself... it is like rebuilding your life from scratch.

Once I became a Zevist, I knew that the hardest part was still ahead of me. It was like finding yourself at the beginning of a climb with nothing to help you scale it. At first, there are footholds, the Temple, which help you become familiar with the terrain, and challenges that occasionally cross your path. Then comes the moment when you have to prove who you truly are.

That is where you truly discover the importance of community, of teamwork, and of the importance each person has within the group. The mistake you can make is to continue comparing yourself to others. But keep this in mind: everyone has their own timing. You are not wrong, you are not slow; you are moving according to the time your soul is capable of working within.

But there is more than this. Our community is also founded upon important values, sacred knowledge that everyone can access.

Remember that if you are here, you have chosen the truth. And truth requires sacrifice, consistency, dedication, and discipline. This is the recipe for successfully leaving the cave behind and allowing yourself to be illuminated by the sun.

The Gods are with us. They are always with us. They do not make the work easier for us, but they guide us and support us in the work we do. Trust in them and continue working. Everything will gradually become clearer as the path unfolds before you.
