No, this is mere superstition. You, as a Zevist, can have your hair any way you like.

This is ridiculous. Have whatever kind of hair that you want.

For a long time, abrahamic religions have controlled women’s power over their own hair. Think about it and do some research, this isn’t just a thing from the middle ages; it still happens today.
Have the hair you want.

It might be tradition, I don't know. Do it if it makes you feel connected to your ancestors, don't otherwise.
It's definitely superstitious though.

The old traditions of women cutting their hair short or keeping it covered after they are married, which continued in christianity and judaism in various forms. And what you describe sounds like part of the same situation. This comes from a real situation which is that everything used to be a lot dirtier, and things like lice used to be extremely more common. The women are already married, they no longer need to have long hair to try to attract a husband and actually they already have a husband so it is better to not be attracting other men now. And the main idea is that they are reducing the risk of developing lice and similar problems like this by having their hair not be so exposed.

We do not really have these problems anymore. So it is all just old traditions, which most people don't remember why they even began.
