I have a 15 degree Leo Sun, conjunct Mercury.
I am purifying my third chakra for 7 months now. During the vibrations in my third chakra, I had the liberating feeling of huge karma being released. During this period I noticed that my heart/throat chakras are venting lots and lots of negativity, almost in a natural way. Chains come out of them, with incredible ease since I started also working on them.
I wonder if just by working on a particular chakra, you purify also the karma that is shown in your chart by the planet ruling the chakra you are working on. Also because, it is interesting how my Sun is conjunct Mercury, and the chakras ruled (co-ruled in the case of the heart chakra) by Mercury are also "spontaneously" venting negativities.
I hope I was clear. It is a very interesting thing, and I'd like to have some opinions about it.

Yes, that is how the chakras and planets work. You've already done a great job, but all chakras need to be purified. Life is complex, and issues are therefore likely connected to all of the chakras, as they each govern different aspects of life.
