I do not know if I am doing this right. I started with my crown chakra and went downward, is that correct? If not, can I somehow correct it or restart? Once you open the chakra(s) what thing do you need to do to keep the open and grow stronger? Thank you

The correct order is this:
Lead TranslatorI think the word "activating them" or breathing an initial life into them is a better word. To completely open them is like decade(s) for most people. A completely open chakra is a chakra that is completely clean and energy flow trough them freely.
With that, after you did this "opening" meditation, your task is to clean them daily. Mediating on them and spinning them helps empower them, and after a while you can do the full chakra meditation to empower them.
You might want to start with the third eye.
Keep meditating on them, breathing in the colors
