He keeps pointing at me and calling me "Dad", whenever I see him nowadays. If I enter the room he'll just stand there and stare at me then start smiling every time.
I have always had a strange affinity with him since he was a baby, but I thought nothing of it. He is now 2 years old.

It may be; children are psychically sensitive. But you can't be sure of course.
