How do we direct message members on our site?
Discussion
You have to make a certain number of posts in the forums before you can send private messages. I don't remember how many, but it's like 50-60.
They did that because there are infiltrators and spambots.
Click on the name of the person you want to send a message to and their profile will be displayed. Below the banner there is a "Start conversation" tab - this is a direct message.
However, as another member mentioned above, you must have a certain number of forum posts before you can unlock this messaging option.

When uploading a profile photo, there is a reminder to not upload anything that could identify you.
If you see someone who appears to have uploaded their real face, please report the account.
The date of birth field is removed entirely from view because people were using their real birthdays.
The "Location" field has been removed going forward.
If you have one set already, it will not be removed, however it is no longer editable.
If you want to change your location just send me a DM. Yes it is a pain, shame it was being abused.
The "Website" field remains. If you see someone who has a spam link in their profile, report the post or the account.
Newly registered accounts cannot set signatures, send DMs, set profile header photos, make profile posts, vote on polls, upload attachments.
These restrictions were mostly the same as previously stated but it's worth noting again for visibility.
New users must make 50 approved posts to be able to access these functions. If there are extreme exceptions, email me.
