Not at all. Void Meditation will actually increase the quality of your thoughts massively. The average person is a complete slave of his mind. He has no control over what he thinks, he has to endure all kinds of intrusive thoughts, he cannot focus for a considerable amount of time without many distractions entering his mind.

Void Meditation will make you a master of your own mind. Removing all the noise from your mind for 15 minutes a day, and also doing it sometimes during the day, doesn't mean you will not be able to think for the rest of the day. The smartest and (most productive) people on the world are able to stay focused with no intrusive thoughts distracting them for many hours, look at chess players as an example.

Also the best intuitions are a product of a still mind, from my experience. Having the ability to eliminate all thoughts is also crucial when you are trying to be successful in any kind of astral practice (astral projection, seeing energy etc.). As soon as you lose focus, the experience ends.

Is a control technique. So it is performed at one's own will. It is not permanent.
